Happy to get an original part. It was a little loose but then I realised the metal frame could be squeezed together slightly to make a perfect fit.Knocked off one star as a bit expensive for a bit of glass.

Useful but expensive
I *love* that bodum sells spare parts so you don't have to buy it all again with something breaks, but I hate that I have to pay the same for the part than for the whole thing. The only reason I bought this was for enviromental reasons, clearly not for economic ones. It should be way cheaper, so it encourages people to buy the minimum necessary.
