Simple and Works!
Bought this on prime day to clean the air after cooking. Works well to clean the air in my small apartment. Is pretty silent in auto, but kicks up pretty quick after frying food. Pushes a lot of air in high and still isn't too loud. Overall I'm happy with the improvement to air quality. The lack of wifi or smart features is not a bad thing to me. I just leave it in auto and it just works.

Works great!
The size is perfect, sits on the floor and doesn't take up a lot of space. We have a fan in microwave above range and it doesn't clear the air very well, this unit clears out the odors from kitchen and dining room quickly

good air purifier
The air purifier works very well-- quiet, works well, and keeps the air clean and it was not expensive--good value.

Great purifier!
I like the multiple settings, the lowest is very quiet and the highest is nice for white noise in the background. No idea how well it purifies, but I trust its doing the job.

Works great.

Works well but ridiculously loud
Works great but so loud. I have a Coway air purifier as well and it's equally effective but much quieter. When it's time to get another air filter, I'm going to get another Coway

Compact Size; Easy To Operate
The media could not be loaded. Product: PHILIPS Air Purifier 800 Series, AC0820/40, WhiteThis air purifier is compact. It is supposed to be able to clean the air in a room up to 698 sq feet. That’s actually a large area for the size of the unit. It’s a bit confusing with different square footage being stated in different places on the product page here. The difference is in how much air is cleared in an hour. At the 698 footage, the air is cycled once. At the lower square footage, it can be 2-3 times in an hour. They do say that the best results happen when the windows and doors are closed. I don’t close the door for the room I’m using it in. The room I’m using it in is about 200 sq feet. It’s very easy to operate. There are only 3 settings; auto (it senses the air quality and adjusts the fan speed based on the quality), turbo (highest fan speed) and night mode (dims the control lights and lowest fan speed). There are three fan speeds. There’s no way to manually run the purifier at the middle fan speed. At the lowest speed, the purifier is very quiet. I have to lean down right to it to hear the fan. I can feel the air coming out the top. The high speed is pretty loud. It’s not as loud as it seems in my video because the camera microphone was picking up the “wind” of the air coming out the purifier. Sorry about that! It is loud enough that it can be hard to hear the TV or someone talking to me. It is very quiet in the night time mode, staying at the lowest speed with the control lights dimmed. You get to the filter by unscrewing the base of the purifier, which means you have to turn the purifier upside down to access the filter. It’s good that you can remove the cord from the back of the unit for this maneuver. The filter fits snuggly and are gaskets to provide a tight seal. There is also an access door on the back to the sensors for when you need to clean them. That door doesn’t open as easily, and I’m afraid I may break the plastic getting it opened. I feel like I’m having to force it a bit. It is good to be able to get to the sensors to clean them, since the sensors on a previous purifier never seemed to work right. These do seem to be detecting something in the air, because the unit will suddenly change speeds. It usually lasts for a very short period of time before it goes back to the low speed. I’ve only been using the unit for about 1 ½ weeks. It’s too soon to tell how much dust and pet dander it’s picking up. The filter still looks clean, but I would expect that. The replacement filters (FY0293) seem reasonably priced at $20+ to $30+ price range. The filter is HEPA.
