Bialetti Stainless Steel Gasket Filter Plate Replacement Parts, 4-Cup Venus, Musa, Kitty

The Musa pot seems to have been redesigned over the past 15 years. I've bought these gasket replacements twice now and I'm relieved they still fit. If you have the old style Musa pot, take a look at my pics to verify if you need - and I have pics with the measurements.In the pic, the package is cut open - it arrived closed, of course. I put the gasket to use before reviewing. There were no odd tastes. The gasket works great, no leaky seal or escaping steam And the package says "Made in Italy" - like it should be!

Of course the great question is how do you know that you need a new gasket and then why do you need the filter? Well that's rather easy, instead of all the espresso grounds staying in their stainless cup, they also adhere to the filter above and cover that with espresso. If you are having that problem, and have to wash the insides out inside of just tapping it onto a paper towel, then it's time to change the gasket.This is the only set of gaskets that I found that also came with the stainless steel filter. I didn't need the filter but after having a lot of these over the years -- we used to be electric but they fail within a year and half -- I can tell you that the gasket from repeated temperature changes will fail as well.It's a piece of cake to replace the gasket. Just open the Macchiato as if you were putting in new coffee and instead wash the top part so you can see the gasket. Pop it out with a butter knife and then push the new one down. Follow the instructions on the back and then make your espresso. Voila you are done. Great set. Highly recommended.

Excellent quality, made in Italy.If you do not know which model you have, or you have a model other than one of the three listed, go to the Bialetti website for sizing guidance before ordering. I fit an older model using that guidance and the kit works fine. The new gaskets have a slightly smaller outside diameter compared to the old one so they do not fit as tightly into the upper housing, but they seal properly when the device is assembled.If your gasket is going bad, do not delay in replacing it. An old gasket can be difficult to remove, particularly if it has been overheated.Three gaskets and one creen is probably about right. I didn't need to replace the screen now so I have a screen and two gaskets left in my kit.I wish Bialetti would make a kit for the older models but I cannot complain because they clearly list the three newer models that this is targeting.JimUpdate March 9 2015I just found that even though this kit is made in Italy, the three coffeemakers for which it is intended are all made in other, third world, countries. Seems to work ok, filter is a hair smaller than the recess on the moka pot, so it falls out when opening. May expand to fit with use.

So, I trundle off to Ikea to replace the gasket in my Trivsel moka pot only to discover that in the year I have owned it they no longer sell the pot or replacement parts (this is from sales associate in the store in PDX). Bummer. What to do? I thought I would have to purchase a new stainless steel moka pot just to replace a worn out gasket-the horror! Happily, while googling possible replacements, I was led to an Amazon review that mentioned these lovely Bialetti gaskets and their compatibility with my Trivsel. True thing. Perfect fit. Item shipped quickly,works like a charm, and I am back in business. If you don't need the stainless filter you can purchase the gaskets separately.

Purchased this for my 6-cup Bialetti Stainless Steel Musa espresso maker, which is at least 10 years old. These gaskets and filter plate fit the same way as the original ones. The packaging is blue and white. Be sure you're ordering the correct parts for your espresso maker as they differ by size and style. I went to the Bialetti website to figure out which style pot I had, then compared the diameter of my old gasket to that of the gaskets offered for my model on the replacement parts page.

This has ruined my mocha pot. Sadly, the original gasket got thrown out. The replacement gaskets are nothing like the original. They are a different material with a lot less give. They don't fit well. They don't make a good seal. This is just a horrible purchase that has ruined my mornings every day since they arrived.I removed a star and brought it down to one star. I ended up buying a whole new Kitty. There were more problems with the replacements then I realized The stainless steel gasket is entirely different on the original and the fit between the gasket and the filter is nice and snug. On the replacement the steel filter slides all around. Truly, buying this product ruined my original Kitty, rather than sprucing it back up.Do not fall for this fraud.

The rubber ring is little smaller than the original one so that i need to use old one.
