These go in between your curtains and the window, you either have to put them between the window and your blinds or have your blinds open to use them so they can be seen outside. Just keep that in mind when planning installations. They are great, bright and have tons of presets for all occasions not just Xmas! Patterns for parties, natural settings shooting stars ext. plus you can make you're own images and animate them though I haven't tried this feature. They also update and add patterns.Pros - pretty simple installation, lights are controlled by a phone app, lights can be scheduled and controlled remotely, lights are pretty bright and the animations are great!Con - I wish there were more columns of lights. Don't get me wrong, they are bright but one thing to consider is that they look better from a distance. What I mean is that if you're viewing these lights from the street they are great or say about 15 - 20 feet away at least, the image really is easy to see. When you're close up, it's much harder to see the pattern. For most uses, this won't be an issue but if you're using this where you might be close to the lights, say a patio window, it might not be as clear what the pattern is.Really that's the only Con. I love these and have Govee all over my house for my TVs and light bulbs. I highly recommend them and for those using DoorDash and that driver keeps missing your house, lol, you can make this a beacon that they can't miss so they and your new friends going to your dinner party always know which place is yours. The fact that all the presets are seasonal and they even have a football animation for the super bowl makes it a must for techno geeks like myself who love leds!
