Works well (fast!) and a good overall value
I used this compressor to air up the 31" AT tires on my Ineos Grenadier. I was going from 20-ish psi back to 44-49psi (seems high, but this is the recommended psi for the vehicle). I also used Thor's Lightning Bolt four-tire air hose kit. Airing up took only 2-3 mins, which was an impressive speed. It probably took as long to get everything set up as it did to actually air up the tires. Sound level when operating was reasonable if even a bit quieter than I anticipated. One thing to be careful of is that the compressor and the couplers/fittings get VERY hot even when using it for a few minutes. I would highly recommend wearing gloves when touching any part of the compressor. The only gripe I have with this kit is that the storage bag is not constructed of particularly durable fabric and the zippers are really lightweight. I don't really expect the bag to last very long with regular use, especially given the weight of the compressor. I even wonder if the compressor will melt holes in the bag if you put it away immediately after using it. Anyway, I did shop around looking for a compressor for off-roading and I am glad with this purchase. I did not want to spend 2-3X more on some name-branded compressors, so this one fit the bill perfectly.

Amazing product, even better customer service!
This product is amazing, but what makes it even better is the customer service from Thor’s Lightning.I recently moved, and apparently when I updated my address with Amazon, I forgot to update the zip code. I received a notification from UPS tracking that the address was changed. Alarmed, I reached out to Thor’s for assistance. They were able to look up the information and informed me of what it was changed to, and I realized my error from when I updated my address. Their response was QUICK and I received the item the next day. After receiving the item and testing it out over the weekend, I had some questions. This company responded within MINUTES and answered every single one of my questions. Not only are they a US company based locally in CO, but I am thoroughly impressed with how they take care of their customers. We debated between Thor’s and ARB for a long time, and I am thrilled we went with Thor’s.Now the product: We purchased this to use airing up 33 inch tires on our 4Runner from airing down for off-roading. We had seen a few of our friends’ compressors before and were impressed, but when we were able to air up from around 18-20psi to 35psi within about 2 minutes per tire with the single-tire hose, we were blown away. I mean, from pulling the compressor out of the back of the truck to putting it away, was tops 12 minutes. Easy to hook up, easy to use, FAST, easy to put away. Even comes with a nice case to keep everything organized. Hose is more than long enough to reach your back tires when hooked up under the hood. The compressor and the hose does get hot, but as long as you’re careful and use the handle to carry it, it’ll be fine. The company recommends using heat resistant gloves when handling to ensure your safety, but just use your brain and don’t touch the hot parts…HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Excellent Compressor
Honestly I bought this compressor to mount on my trailer with an air tank, but have not done that yet. Mostly picked this one due to the CFM rating and the overall durability. Now, I can say that I've used it on several occasions already to fill different types of tires and it's fast. Filling my Jeep tires (39.5x16.5R16.5) from 8 to 25 PSI took less than 2 minutes each but that's a very large volume tire. Filling trailer tires and normal vehicle tires to 30-35 PSI is super fast, and maintaining my truck up to 80 PSI is no struggle for this compressor. And, I do have to admit I run a setup which fills 2x tires at a time and equalizes the pressure between the tires so that puts an additional load on the compressor.Only issues: 1) I recommend a 150-PSI inline air filter because it does push plenty of water through the lines if you are in an area with higher humidity; 2) that short lead line air does get fairly hot after heavy use so take caution before disconnecting the air line or accessories. The included air lines and accessories are high quality, the connectors and fittings as well.I like the fact that this compressor clamps to the battery directly instead of running through accessory ports in the vehicle which in my experience usually ended up in blown fuses. The battery connection cables are plenty long enough to reach the battery, even in a very high lifted vehicle.Noise level is not any worse than other similar compressors, if that concerns you. It is actually quieter and smoother than the cheap 12v lighter-plug style compressors that I've had in the past.

This works well and is work the price.
I watched a lot of you tube videos on compressors because I was going to do some overlanding and would be airing down my tires. After Smittybuilt failed to send me the compressor I ordered, I went for Thor's Lightning. I did use it to air back up while on the trail. Easy to hook up and easy to use. The dual compressors filled the tires quick. Incidentally, I had a question when trying it out for the first time at home prior to the trip and i didn't understand something, so I called their customer service line and a human picked up and was able to answer my question in a couple seconds. The connections are quick and easy to snap together. This was a win and work the price.
