Peel Natural Wicker Eco Coffin (Wicker Oval Large)

We sadly lost my nan. It was completely unexpectedly with no funeral plan in place.We knew she wanted to be cremated and we wanted to give her the best send off whilst being sensible with costs.Looking at what the funeral directors had to offer, they wasn’t what we had in mind and was priced in the thousands.I came across this late one night by accident and it was exactly what we had in mind and such a reasonable price for a cremation.The funeral directors said it was fine for me to source my own.Usually they would measure your loved one and advise on the size, but I just wanted it to get there on time so ordered the large, thinking if it was a Little too big it would be fine... we’ll my goodness I could have got half the family in there!It was absolutely beautiful though, even the undertakers said so.It looked wonderful dressed with country style foraged flowers.If you get the large and don’t know what size floral spray to order, 4ft is perfect - 3ft would be too small in my opinion.I’m sure my Nan would have been so proud of how her basket turned out.My granddad said after the service “ you could have had all the money in the world but you could never have done it more beautiful than you did”I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these sellers and the basket - it was wonderful.My only gripe would be the name plaque. It’s a little wooden one to be attached with string, but my undertakers has no way of engraving the wood, so we attached a gold plaque to it as it has to be marked for a cremation.I would have happily paid extra for the option of having it done, but not essential.

So happy we chose this for my very special, unique and wonderful Dad. We did him proud on the day, on every level and this Natural Eco Friendly Wicker coffin not only added to the natural and light feel of the day, it is so well made, strong, of a very high quality and for us personally, is a far better, more pleasant option than a wooden box. It also complimented our floral spray and floral tributes so well. Many people commented on what a beautiful choice it was. Very happy and such great value too. I am all about the detail and getting things just right. I would purchase again and recommend without hesitation.

Wanted something pretty and feminine for my daughter, this was perfect. Garlanded it with flowers and butterflies, it looked beautiful and took the sting out of that dreaded 'coffin '. Many people were blown away by it and it removed that unapproachability that coffins have. I think its made them think differently about how things can be done.

I found it hard to lay in for long periods of time especially when the soil was being thrown on top as the coffin seemed to cave in and I became more cramped.Would recommend if it was being used for cremation but for burial it just isn’t sturdy enough

Was bought for me, blocks sunlight well, very comfortable to sleep for long periods in. Can be padded for extra comfort. No neck support however!

I bought this coffin for my Mum's funeral in February. She requested an eco coffin and I know she would've been pleased with this purchase. I received lots of positive comments after the funeral. Everyone who commented said how lovely the coffin was. It was very strong, suprisingly a lot heavier than i imagined. Well worth the money paid.
