Isolate It!: Sorbothane Vibration Isolation Circular Disc Pad 0.25" Thick 1" Dia. 30 Duro - 8 Pack

Been a big fan of Sorbothane in audio for aiding in isolation for many years. I've seen them applied to the awesome Grand Prix Monaco stand some years back. But alone, Sorbothane can be effective too. It's important to match the weight to the correct duro.Here I used this batch for two items: a RME ADI-2 DAC and a Wiim Pro streamer. The results using the Duro 30 are quite nice. Also, consider using three Sorbothane pieces in a triangle arrangement to better match the weight of your audio component. Last, folks talk about the tacky stickiness but these come in a package of 8 and you can use the thin plastic they are enclosed with to "protect" surfaces on one or both sides. Just cut that thin plastic on one or both sides. I did exactly that to protect a nice wooden table where the RME sits. Enjoy!

Le sorbothane personnellement je ne connaissais absolument pas cette matière et tout les dérivés servant aux applications militaire et a la NASA entre autre. Ayant changé de PC récemment je me suis retrouvé avec une tour métallique a panneaux plutôt très léger avec des pieds a moitié métallique et en plastique dur, un peu façon pieds de machine a laver mais en petit et forcément avec les vibrations du disque dur un 7200trs + la ventilation le tout a directement vibré des le premier allumage, et la je savais que j'allais avoir un gros soucis question vibration a régler.J'ai beaucoup fouillé sur la toile, lu un tas d'articles sur la question qui indique de se ruiner en achetant des pieds spéciaux a 30-40 euro l'unité (certes chromé ou plaqué or, a ce prix aussi heureusement ...) ou bien des pieds cheap a 3-4 euro le sachet de 4 pour d'autres. En lisant les commentaires sur ses articles je voyais a chaque fois que seulement 50% des lecteurs qui avait testé était heureux des produits recommandés même pour les plus cher, ce que je trouvais plutôt mitigé comme résultat pour ma part, recherchant un taux de réussite de 100% du premier coup.Puis je suis enfin tombé sur un nombre impressionnant articles usa concernant la société isolate it! super spécialiste dans le domaine de l'anti vibration made in usa. Produit difficile a trouvé ici en France, mais fort heureusement amazon.fr les importent amazon.com usa , génial !!Petit sachet de 8 pieds comme sur les photos, la matière est vraiment spécial au touché, on dirait du latex collant un peu. Ils se collent et se décollent a volonté, il n'y a pas de matière a proprement parlé collante dessus style colle ou ruban adhésif , c'est une sorte effet ventouse de la matière elle même une fois collé sur du fer. Bien faire attention au recommandation de poids et de dureté (duro 30-50-70 etc) de chaque différents pieds et modèles, car un pieds a dureté trop dur fera l’effet inverse que de stoppé les vibrations, donc bien connaitre le poids de l’objet en question a isoler avant de commander.Les résultats sont tout bonnement spectaculaire !! On réduit a 95% facilement tout bruit de vibration entre la tour et la table du bureau. Seul demeure un très léger bruit extrêmement sourd lorsque on rapproche ses oreilles au niveau des pieds qui doit être l'impact des vibrations absorbé par les pieds justement. Au niveau de la tour c'est ultra impressionnant, plus aucune portes ou panneaux ne vibrent, le DD se fait a peine entendre en fonctionnement, bref on entend plus que le bruit de la ventilation et rien de plus, et on reste un peu bouche bée devant une aussi petite chose qui fait d'aussi grande chose au final.

very effective product for isolating against vibrations. i put a set of 30 duro 1/4" pads under my Kanto powered speakers that are sitting directly on my desktop. there is a huge improvement in sound quality, clarity and perceived volume. Midrange has opened right up and the bass is clear and tight. Overall the sound has opened right up.30 duro is *very* soft. minimum rating per pad is 4.3 lbs which should make 4 pads good to support about 17 pounds, which should be perfect for the Kantos. the pads haven't flattened with the weight of the speaker under them but they are visibly compressed. I think this is perfect for level application like a desktop, but if you wanted to use these with the Kanto stands which angle the speaker back, i don't think they'd work placed under the speaker. you'd have to put them under the stand and select a higher duro.

Like the lower duro for a minimum of shock trasmitted; came well-wrapped and was simple to stick on. Even if it is squishy it seems rather durable for my purposes

As some reviewers noted, these are very sticky. I didn't realize how sticky until I actually got them. They are VERY sticky! No residue so far though (48-72 hrs installed) and the stickiness was actually very helpful. I was able to stick them to the bottom of my speakers, and the set the speaker exactly where I wanted it. Otherwise I would have to guess where they would fit on a base and set the speaker down, which is a pain to line up correctly. It was also great for one speaker I used with speaker spikes as they fit perfect with this particular item. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010FB0DYQ/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_27). I was able to stick the spike to the bottom of the speaker and it was very easy to set the spike into the base. They also were great at adding some extra stability to speakers set on stands where I didn't want to drill mount screws into my new speaker. Great product!
