Shocked at how good it is
What's not to like? Easy to program, understands VLAN's without an issue, the DECT base is wall mountable and works PoE, it was simple to configure with FreePBX and HD voice works by default. (FYI: User/Pass admin/admin)Literally the simplest SIP/DECT phone I've ever setup (I have used quite a few), nice full-size handset, I sound like I'm gushing but it's because so far, it's that good. If you are a VoIP guy like me, this is a great phone. Seriously.EDIT: 6 months later, phone is still #1 IMHO. Works great with FreePBX, the range is INSANE (I have 5 acres, base is in the house in the approx middle) I can walk my entire perimeter and the call stays connected and perfect, never drops below 2 bars). This phone is a winner. It's durable, it's reliable.EDIT AGAIN: Now March of 2021, this is STILL the best cordless in the house, no signs of battery erosion (hold charge nicely) performance still top notch. Going to buy another because it's just that good (and I need one in the shop, which connects to the same base as my range is simply insane)

Landline to digital/ money saver
I purchased this phone so I could have the same phone number I’ve had for 40 years and go thru internet calling to get out from under AT &T ‘s outrageous over priced service. It works good. Takes a little to get used to. No dial tone. But mostly does the same thing. I use for the land line on my home phone, since I prefer to have a cell service and a land line. Im happy with it. I plan on staying with the same multi line for my business when I change it over to digital.

Awesome Voip handset
I bought it for a client with Nextiva service and wasn't sure if it would work. I connected the charger, hooked the base in the router. Got on the phone with Nextiva customer service rep, gave them the mac address. They configured on their end. Rebooted and it was ready to go within a few minutes. It has a good range. Looks great and the client raves about it as their receptionist is now free to answer phones from (almost) anywhere.

Setup Can Be Extremely Difficult
After connecting two Yealink W56H handsets to the Yealink W60P base unit, the handsets would not save the date/time formatting and entries that I would save via the handsets. I even reset the base station and the handsets to factory settings and re-started the base station; reconnected the handsets to the base station, and tried to reset the time/date on the handsets again, but with the same result. After a couple of hours of research on Google, it appears the date/time format, etc. is "pushed" from the base unit to the handsets, so to change them on the handsets, you have to change them on the base station. Changing the time zone and formats on the base station requires using a graphical user interface (GUI) that exists on the base station. This requires accessing the base station by entering the IP Address of the base station in your laptop browser. Once you do that, the GUI asks you for your default User ID and Password, that do not appear anywhere in the documentation. The Yealink website is designed for corporate IT telephony professionals, so the only documentation that's non-technical is the Quick Start guide that comes with the base station, which does not contain the default User ID/Password combo to access the base station GUI. No documentation whatsoever except the Quick Start guide comes with the product and there's no support telephone number to call. So, the bottom line, is I'm planning on returning the product and will buy another brand from some other source.

The W60P is a great base, but make sure that's what you receive!!!
5 stars for the item.1 star for the seller.I purchased the W60P base and 3 W56H handsets and paid for next day shipping. Shipping was great, but when I opened the package the next day, there were 3 handsets and a W56P base, not the W60P like I had ordered. I figured since there were only a few small differences between the W56P and the W60P that what I received would still work. Unfortunately, the W56P wasn't compatible with my phone provider, but the W60P that I was supposed to receive was. I contacted Amazon and will be returning the W56P base, but I wanted to leave a review to warn others to make sure to check the model of the base after it's shipped to you. It may not be the W60P like you're expecting.I also noticed that right out of the box, the W56P base had some minor scuffs and a blue mark (maybe paint?) on the top of the base. It wasn't major, and it wasn't anything that caused the unit to function improperly, but it definitely wasn't a new device. The handset included with the base was also missing the small foam between the handset and its battery compartment, making the initial installation of the battery more difficult than it needed to be (and much harder than the other 3 handsets I received). After all the issues, I received my W60P through another supplier and the base itself is great! Registering the handsets to the base is extremely easy and only takes about a minute or two. I have the W60P connected to our Yealink T46G and they work together very nicely. It was almost plug-and-play to get everything set up and I'd definitely recommend these phones to anyone looking to update their phone system with a nice handset setup. Just make sure you receive the model that you're actually ordering!Pros:- Can support up to 8 W56P handsets. I currently have 4 connected to mine, but they all ring together and can be answered on any handset you want.- You have the option to transfer calls between handsets or have multiple people (on different handsets) on the same phone call at once. One handset can even be talking to one person on one line while another handset can make other calls at the same time. I show 3 separate lines that can be switched between for incoming or outgoing calls.- User interface on the W56H handset included is smooth and easy to use. I haven't had any hiccups or slowdowns yet. Nor have I found myself getting lost in the menu while looking for a specific setting. Everything seems very simple and straight forward.- Pairs nicely with the Yealink T46G phone. All 4 handsets I have paired with the W60P base ring at the same time as the T46G and calls can be answered or placed on any of the phones.Cons:- I received the W56P base and not the W60P base. Which caused quite an issue for me during setup after finding out that the W56P wasn't even supported by my phone provider in my case.- The base I did receive wasn't even new. It had definitely been used before by somebody. It could have even been refurbished, but there was some minor cosmetic damage upon initial unboxing.- The W60P base can only upgrade one handsets firmware at a time, and the firmware upgrade on the handsets took me roughly 15-20 minutes each (with 300mbps download speed). Which can be a timely process if you're registering multiple handsets to the base.- Somewhat expensive for handset phones. It has some really nice features and a smooth UI, but compared to some other cordless handset phone setups it's a little more on the expensive side.Overall I'd definitely recommend the W60P and the W56H handset that they include with it. I'd even recommend the W56P base if it wasn't for the fact that it wasn't compatible with my phone provider. Just double check the model you actually receive and make sure it's compatible with your provider. Once it's set up correctly, it's a great phone system!
