best dongle scanner I have used, worth every penny
Used it on my 2014 Camry, found the problem right away, it was the oxygen sensor, and the App provided a link to purchase the part, excellent. I used it on several different cars, and it worked very well. The product used a proprietary App, RepairSolutions2, which is very user friendly, easy to set up, quick, and intuitive. It gave me a lot of useful information, including layman’s definition and effect on the car, which is super helpful and saved me a lot of time googling and searching on YouTube. One thing I don’t like is that it requires you to provide an email and create an account , however, in return, it also provides free cloud space to store all your car scan reports that you can access whenever you need it, which is very convenient. Also, I can confirm that the App is free, no subscription fee. I had a FIXD scanner, and it required a subscription fee.I have other scanners that I purchased in the past, they are more expensive and not as good as this block tech scanner. For the price, this dongle works perfectly and gives me a lot of relevant and useful information, and I will rank it number one among all the scanners I have. It is worth every penny.

Connectivity Issues possibly solved
When reading through some of the reviews on this, there are a few that talk about connectivity issues, and I've discovered that it might not be the reader but the car. I drive an older Lexus that has some quirks that pop up every couple months and had gotten tired of crawling under the dash to plug in my old reader. Well, I started having connectivity issues and it annoyed me to the point I got out my old reader and plugged it in to clear the codes, well, I decided to just leave it plugged in as it usually quirks a couple days in a row and then goes away. That's when I noticed something, the reader was laying in the floorboard and I could see it as soon as I opened the door and it would power up as soon as I opened the door, before I touched the start button. So, I tried an experiment the last few days, I would start the app as I was walking toward the car, before I touched the car. Sure enough, it would connect every time without issue and work perfectly. I'm thinking that with newer cars that have proximity sensors tied to the key fob, the car does a different "power up" than older cars and this is what is causing the issues.

Work great
Works on 2018 Audi and other newer vehicles, clears codes as well. Mechanic husband uses it and was happy with it as a gift although he has other scanners. Worth buying. Easy setup

Great scanner, worth every dollar.
This bluetooth obd2 scanner is worth every dollar (I paid about $30). I have used it on more than 10 different vehicles, f150, ram, toyota, honda, bmw, mercedes benze, vw, etc.,and it worked on all of them, great coverage. It is a basic scanner and only reads and clears enginne code (if you need oem code like abs, you can buy the 430 model), but it can do live data, and also provides possible fix and parts needed, which is very useful for a do-it-yourself person. One thing I like particularly is the free cloud storage for all the scan reports, and I can also share or print the reports, which is very convenient. Great product for the price, function, and quality.

Not what I expected
I figured this device would at least stay paired with the phone. You know how you get a $5 bluetooth speaker and you turn it off, turn it on, and it automatically connects? Not with this waste of cashSo you gotta plug it in, sit there for the sluggish app to find the device, pair the device, then input the vin/year make model EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.Also, I assume due to its hipster bluetooth functionality, your vehicle must be in accessory mode. I've never had any problems plugging my $15 autel on any of my three vehicles while they are running.I got this for road trips, interested in the live data so I could see exactly what my car is reading instead of going through a list of probabilities which causes a dummy light, throwing money at a problem.I haven't even had my CEL come on since I bought this, but I guarantee I would not reach for this pos - pull over, turn off my vehicle, sit on the side of the road for at least 180seconds, then continue down the road. It wouldn't be a waste of time, but dangerous bruh.I'd reach for my $15 scanner, and worst case scenario Google the code to find out the most popular cause. In conclusion, I would not recommend this. However if you like pitter-pattering, wasting time staring at your phone, for some reason havent memorized troubleshooting codes AND can't use google to lookup said code, I'd say this product is great for you. I mean live data works, and so does recording live data. But still, PITA. 1 star.

Saved me a trip to the shop! super easy to use
few weeks ago, my check engine light came on while I was driving to work. My first reaction was to panic a bit because honestly car stuff usually isn’t my thing. I didn’t want to end up with a huge repair bill, so I decided to try this OBD scanner I had bought on a whim.I was surprised by how simple it was: just plugged it in, paired it with my phone, got the code, and read the code definition given in the app. It gave me a code for an 'evaporative emission system leak.' Which is something as simple as a loose gas cap. I got out, tightened the cap, and reset the code with the scanner. Sure enough, the light stayed off after that and I didn’t have to rush to the shop!! It’s nice to have a little more control and not feel completely clueless about my car. this scanner is so worth having around!
