I'm a new rider, and quickly found out how uncomfortable the stock seat on the Rebel 500 can be after a long ride. This seat cover is a life saver!!! For starters, it was super easy to install, even for a newbie. Straps under the seat, and a quick adjustment keeps it in place after putting the seat back on. Second, it looks good on the bike - not bulky or oversized. It fits perfectly, not too big or small, no gaps or overlapping. It almost blends right in with the stock seat. So it's on, fitted correctly and looks great, but how does it feel? That's my biggest concern, so I hopped on and went for an hour-long ride. Right off the bat, it felt way different than the regular seat - softer, less rigid, pretty comfortable to sit on, nice thick gel padding, sturdy outer material. You don't really notice the space down the middle when you're sitting on it, which is nice. So far, so good. On the ride, I noticed right away that I wasnt trying to adjust my position to find a comfortable spot on the seat. It felt good right from the get-go. The real test for me was riding without stopping for about 20 minutes - I like to stretch a little at stop lights and signs, so I'll stand up while the bike is stopped. Up til now, every time I do that, my lower back felt so compressed, it took me a few seconds to get to a full standing position. And the pain was enough that I started to have second thoughts about owning my bike. But, this cover is a game-changer!! The first stop, I prepared to stand up and was ready for the same issue - but it didn't happen. I stood straight up with no trouble or hesitation at all!! No pain, very minimal compressed feeling. After riding about an hour and a half, I got home and was still pain free and without that horrible feeling like someone had crushed my tailbone in a vise!! Highly recommend this over spending hundreds on a new seat!!!

Just finally got to use this for a 1,000 mile trip. Unbelievable comfort. I rode to my destination and back with it, but rode without it for about 100 miles in between. I have a "show" seat which has a low profile, and therefore very little padding. After riding with it, I regretted riding without it.This has to be one of the best purchases that I have ever made for my bike. I considered a new seat for a while, but then I would have to pack the other seat. I've tried other seats, but I just don't think they match the comfort of this pad.It secures to the seat very well, and it does not move at all while riding, whether under hard acceleration or stopping quickly. Honestly, I had lower expectations and was greatly surprised. Granted, it was one trip and 1,000 miles. So unless it wears down quickly, I can't think of anything I can say bad about it at all.

I am into very customized motorcycle seats, and prior to getting a new seat built by one of the shops I deal with, this is my go-to seat cushion, that allows me to ride in comfort, until that new custom seat is built for me. Very good quality !

I'm 68 and my wife is 65. I started using this seat three weeks ago on the pillon seat of my motorcycle to get my wife, who rides as a passenger with me, could be more confortable in the rides we do every weekend. We use to ride between 200 and 500Km every weekend. She says she feels much more confortable now using this seat than sitting directly on the bike seat. It also suppresses in some amount the natural vibrations of the Motorcycle and makes the ride "softer and enjoyable" for her. So far we don't know how long it is going to last, but I think it will be no more than 5000 or 7000 Kms. It seems to me that it is built out of "non very durable materials". Anyway we both think it was a good choice and for the price we paid for it, we feel satisfied.

This isn’t the thickest or sturdiest foam, and I can press all the way through it with just my hand. However, it does make riding a bit more comfortable, which is all I wanted at this price point. Super easy to “install” on my vstrom, and while it definitely doesn’t look factory, it doesn’t look terrible. If you put on a T-shirt this morning, you can figure this out. It also comes with the absolute greatest product flyer in the history of products, promising to keep your butt from becoming sultry and promising transparent buttocks. 11/10 product copy.EDIT: So I ended up deciding to return this product. For very short rides around town, the extra layer of super soft foam feels extremely comfortable. However, on longer rides, this pad actually "hot spots" more than just the stock seat because it doesn't hold up under the slightest amount of weight, so pressure points form very easily. Also, the breathability on hot days goes away entirely when you sit on it because you compress all of those open cells flat. What you do feel, however, is how dang hot this thing gets when it's sitting out in the sun. Maybe if you weigh less than 100lbs, it maintains it's shape, but just putting a book on it and pressing down with my hand was enough to flatten it completely, which gets rid of every single advertised benefit. For long rides, you're better off without it, so I'll have to try something else.

I rarely leave reviews but I had to on this one. This seat cover is AMAZING! I have tried many in lieu of purchasing a whole new seat and oh my goodness. My butt is in heaven. I took my bike from OKC to Eureka Springs and back (about 10Hours) and never felt discomfort. I cannot explain how great this thing is. It is also very easy to put on/take off and looks nice. I amSmall and was worried the padding would lift me too high but it doesn’t. Be prepared to fall in love and never take it off. :)

I love this seat cushion. It makes long rides so much better. It was a great fit for my seat. It is slip resistant and doesn’t get over heated in the sun. It is thick and durable and functional for what I was looking for. I will definitely recommend this product.
