Q: Can I use this to descale a shower-head and if so how much should I use?

A third of a box in 1pint jug and place shower head in jug for at least one hour. Works well.

Q: Can this be used to descale a water distiller?

yes, just use a level teaspoon boil kettle first then add citric acid leave for a couple of hours then rinse out several times

Q: Can this be used as for removing garden weeds as I don't want to kill the wildlife?

Im not sure if it kills weeds but I do know that white vinegar does, especially with added table salt. The salt dries out the root system and the w vinegar kills the leaf growth, due to its acidic nature. Also w vinegar helps to keep rodents away as they hate the smell, especially rats do, as they have a very acute sense of smell. On another, note citric acid is superb for de scaling the kettle!
