Great push-button lock. Strong, secure, and works without a hitch.The item was pretty easy to install in the old handle cut-out on our condo's front door. It was also easy to program... although changing the code would involve removing the lock from the door.

Saves so much time and frustration not having to deal with a key! Just do the combo and enter. Lock immediately without having to do a combination. GREAT PRODUCT!

I was impressed with the quality of the keypad and all of its pieces. All the pieces are all metal and feels heavy which gives the feel of good quality and durability. The one thing I find a little inconvenient is that you have to remove half of the door lock in order to change the passkey. Other than that, great purchase.

We bough this mechanical deadbolt about 2 years ago. Two previous digital deadbolts only made it a year with the heavy use (30-40 cycles a day), and we were always replacing batteries. So we went with this, and once installed it works great, even in Ohio weather. - I will never go back to digital locks, I just dont trust them.

I’ve had this lock less than a year. We have it on an outbuilding. This is the second time the key tabs have fallen out of alignment from the mechanism with normal use. One tab is misaligned stuck and won’t press in. So when that happens, you can unlock the door and the key entry won’t make the tumbler turn either. There is no way to get into the building. We’ll probably have to break the door. So sad because this lock should be more stable. Bad design.I’ve changed my rating from a 1 to a 3. I had to come back to this review because the company was wonderful about honoring their warranty. The lock was trash and did not hold up. But the company gave me a full refund for the broken lock. I think that says something about the product, if the company stands behind it,

Lock works easily. Perfect for application where you do not want electric and just need mechanical lock mechanism. Only drawback is the code does not have to be entered in any particular order so reduces the number of number combinations. Otherwise, once code entered it is easy to open and easy to lock.

The lock as received had no deadbolt action. It installed easy enough and appeared to work well until I realized I could manually depress the bolt back when it was fully extended. This is unacceptable for a deadbolt lock, making it susceptible to jimmying. I emailed customer support and we exchanged a little information and within about a week I had a replacement lock which functioned just fine. I highly recommend.

After having used a fully-electronic keypad-style front door lock for the last 4 years, I got tired of how the batteries had to be replaced constantly... but more importantly, how whenever you tried to use the touch pad to get in, it usually "failed", and kept you locked out... forcing you to use a regular key anyway.THIS unit, however, is entirely mechanical, so it eliminates that lousy failing keypad... plus, it still allows you to use a regular Kwikset house key, if you forgot the code.As far as installation goes, the only drawbacks are that it was a little tricky to move and replace the pins, to set the code I wanted... as well as the fact that it really only allows you to use up to 6 digits/characters safely. I say this because I wanted to input an 8-character code, but the unit is not set up to ONLY accept your code in the exact order you want it to be using... that is, if you program it for "14352890", ANY combination of those numbers (inputted in any order) will then open the lock... which is problematic. So, you really have to give it some thought as to what 4-to-6 digit/character code you might safely use.With all that said, however, this lock is really beefy, and so far, has eliminated the "pain" caused by my earlier electronic keyless lockset!
