A useful alternative for drying the washing.
It does work well but you really need to move the washing around inside so it dries evenly. Clothes hangers are required and they do tend to overlap and catch on each other. Awkward for large heavy items like bath towels which like trousers are too long to hang down without folding somehow, this makes drying slower. The dryer does not work too well with a lot of items. I find that smaller items which dry quicker can be taken out sooner and the rest rearranged to help airflow. So far for me the drying time is around three and a half hours, but this is obviously dependent on the material weights etc. A good spin first will also help. The unit does blow out a lot of hot air and seems efficiently designed. It is fairly quiet when running and surprisingly lightweight. One problem is storage as it has a largish footprint. I tend to dismantle it and keep it in the box it arrived in, but as I only need it about once a week this works for me. Overall I am happy with this dryer, it is pretty much as expected, not the greatest solution but way better than wet washing hanging about for days.

Edit 13.02.2024:It puffed out after about 5mins of being on. To be fair I only spun at 800. Lets a fair bit of steam out so left it in bathroom with window open to vent. Took 30 mins to dry everything l. Bloody excellent. And for those writing bad reviews , they are working for someone else, didn't know how to use it, or haven't activated the THREE YEAR warranty and phoned up beldray. When I phoned them they said they cover everything for 3 years and pay for return delivery. What's not to like. AND NO IRONING !!---Sure there are better but for the price it can't be beat. Says somewhere that it cost 34p per MINUTE. OMG NO that is so wrong. It has a 1000 watt output so that is 1 kilowatt or 1KW. So it uses 1KW per Hour or 1KW. To find the total cost of running, multiply the number of hours run by the pence per KwH stated on your eleccie bill. Mine is 32p. I have the air dryer on for an hour so that's 1x32p or 32pence. For comparison a tumble dryer is typically a 5KwH or 5 kilowatts per hour. So to get the total cost multiple 5 by cost of KwH and multiply that by hours run. So for me, that's 5 x 32p x 1.5 = £2.40. Therefore this air dryer costs 32p to dry my clothes whereas the tumble dryer costs £2.40. This represents a saving of £2.08 per drying. If I have the dryer on three times a week that's a weekly saving of 3x£2.08 = £6.24. That's nearly £25 a month saving. It gets better if you usually iron because the clothes come out of the air dryer with no creases so I don't need to iron. Steam irons use roughly between 800 - 2000 watts per day. So for example, if you turn your iron on for 10min every day for a month, it will use around 5 kWh of electricity which is another £2.40 you're not spending on ironing. It can add up. Great idea, better for the environment., and cheaper to run. No brainer.

lovely
used over winter. works well. if not overloaded takes about 1 hr to dry clothes and as it use 1 kw per hr it's more efficient than a tumble dryer. a little tricky hanging larger items in it but doable.

Dryer
It doesn’t dry clothes completely. It’s good to dry kids clothes tho.

Not Bad
Thought I'd give it try after reading the positive reviews. It works well if not too full, I have tried it with15 hanging pieces and took 3-4 hrs to dry and with less stuff around 2-3hrs. It all depends on the type of clothing but overall not bad. It costs around 40p per hour according to my smart reader, so much cheaper than my tumble dryer. It's sturdy but can be a bit fiddly putting the clothes on, the hangers getting in the way of each other. Again not a problem if U use less hangers than recommended. Towels dry quick and I've dried quilt cover folded on a hanger. Overall, not sure it's a lot better than letting the clothes dry on the airer, but the clothes are softer and don't really need ironing. I suppose its better than having clothes drying around the house for days.

Really Effective Way to Dry Clothes
This is a great way to dry the laundry. I mainly use this for drying children's clothes and I manage to pack a lot in and within 2 hours it's dry. Often it's dry a lot quicker than that! I use it for adults clothes but you get less clothes in, if the clothes are touching each other you can be left with some damp patches. It's easy to assemble, quiet hum in the background, neat enough to fit in a corner. It's really good value for money. This was a life saver over the last few months when weather has been so wet. I use a lot of trouser hangers to hang all the clothes. They are a bit neater and makes it easier to pack up the tent. Really recommend this.
