Quick fix for old Linear opener.
Frustrated getting previous "universal" remotes to work with an old Linear unit. This worked quickly and easily. Highly recommended.

Easy to Program, Small Delay Sending Signal
These were easy to program. I had to program two of them both with two different codes, one for our garage door and one for our gate. It was easy to do following the provided instructions. My only negative is a small one, and that's that you have to press down the button for a little bit longer than our original remotes before it activates the signal.

First Timers use the Instructions
Great update! My previous openers only had a range of 30ft max on direct sight line. I can use these to open from the road before pulling into the drive way. Will admit though it took me almost an hour to set up both openers to both doors. *Probably should've read the instructions sooner* It only took 10 minutes after I programed the first button.

It worked for me after a few tries
This is what worked for me:- Open the back of the unit opener on the ceiling.- Open the remote red cover to see the black LEARN button in the remote.- Pick a button that you'd like to program – For some reason it worked a little bit different for each button, sometimes you have to confirm the button you’ve chosen and do the same steps twice, only one right button in one remote worked for me at the first time, as I have two garage doors maybe it’s a way to make each button different, that’s what I think.- Once you’re ready to program the remote, and you’ve chosen the proper button to set for your garage door, you will do this next steps either once or maybe twice.1 - Push the Learn button IN the remote until the LED stays lit.2 - Push the button on the garage door unit once. Your ceiling opener light will either stay lit or may blink once or twice right after this, in my case, a Precision 800, did it twice, THEN3 - Push the button you wish to program in the remote opener, if you need to do it more than once, just try it in one second intervals, once the light on the ceiling garage door opener flashes It means it’s set, then4 - You should also see the LED inside the garage door opener unit flashing. THEN,5 - Press the learn button again before the light in the remote control goes off! After this I tested the button in the remote, it didn’t work, but I repeated steps 5-8 a second time, exactly the same way, and this time worked like a charm!I did these same steps 5-8 twice on most of the buttons of the remotes, only in 1 button for one of the remotes, I had to do it just once. This seemed to work for me, maybe the key to programming it successfully differs from one ceiling opener brand to another, I guess. So good luck to you!I also tested the distance on both remotes, it’s great, for me worked for about 40-45 feet away from the house, didn't try any farther, and as for me, I am a happy camper now, my old remote was dying, so this was a great choice!

Remote easy to program!
These work great on our 18yr old Liftmaster garage door openers. Easy to program! I recommend clearing all the codes in your unit hanging in garage before you program remote. Then be sure to change the DIP Switch code numbers under the red cover. Don’t choose the number (1). Pick at least three numbers.
