Awesome monitor
While this monitor doesn't look particularly modern with those thick bezels and plain black exterior, it more than makes up for it in performance and quality. It's built like a tank, with a heavy and highly manoeuvrable stand, so easy to get the perfect viewing position. I was going to buy a monitor arm, but won't bother now the supplied stand is so good. For me, QHD (2560 x 1440) is the perfect resolution for a 24" monitor. You get lots of application space without things being tiny.Upscaled 1080p content from an older laptop looks surprisingly crisp, if not quite as razor-sharp as native 1440p output from my Macbook Pro.Colours are super-vibrant and rich in sRGB mode, without looking over-saturated or fake. The screen is very relaxing to look at and I see no backlight bleed or anything 'cheap' looking on the display front. As a daily workhorse monitor for software developers or anyone involved in computer graphics work who wants a step up from basic monitors, this is a bargain.

Overall seems to be very well made, picture and colour is excellent, sound is ok
24 inch QHD, Very good monitor. Wanted a 4k but went with this instead because its cheaper. I'm a software developer and use it all day long, hobby photographer also. 24 inch i think is perfect, i think a 27 would have been nice for the photography but too big for every day use. Colours seem to be quite good. Compared with the macbook pro retina that i'm using this with id say colour wise they are about the same. The 1440 resolution is nice at this size, you can see the pixels if you look really close but at normal reading distance its great, not quite as good as the retina display here. If it were a 27 inch i think you would need the 4k. There are no banding, flicker or dead pixel issues with my monitor as reported in some other reviews (maybe they were for the 27/32 inch versions? its not clear). The stand is good and solid. it has all the adjustments you would want, swivel, tilt, rotate, and height adjustment. The tilt isn't all that great, i would say it goes about 15-20 degrees from upright, which is more than enough for sitting at a desk but it doesn't fold almost flat like some other monitors if you are using a standing desk for example. Comes with a standard uk plug and a variety of connecting (except the hdmi cable that i needed), audio in/out and usb in (there are 2 usb ports). Built in speakers are ok. not great but ok and plenty loud. Overall seems to be very well made, picture and colour is excellent, sound is ok, for the price (220) i'd say you wouldn't get better.

alright response time for gaming, great colour accuracy
review for the 1440p panel:if i can play quake on it, the colour response time is good enough. i tested this on the eizo response time test vs the benq gl2450 1ms panel and it was consistently neck-in-neck or one 5-pixel-step behind across all speeds. don't get me wrong, moving the mouse about seems to be snappier with a 1ms response time, but not *that* much snappier. after doing a comparison for a while now i've lost the ability to feel the difference. without a side-by-side i don't think you'd give it conscious attention. maybe some scenes can evoke the pixel streaking more?the colours are undoubtedly good though. the brightness, contrast, and the colour gamut work together very well. neon scenes come to life, and natural colours are very grounded. the eizo test shows 0 banding whilst the gl2450 shows banding across all gradients. surely there are monitors that do response time & colour accuracy better than this one, but not at the same time within this price range from what ive seen. i would recommend checking said accuracy yourself but not many people have access to hardware like that, including me. benq does include a report card that seems legit and passes the sniff test - high wavelength colours (closer to red) *are* very accurate both on the report card and on the screen itself.as some background info, i've been playing on the aforementioned 1920x1080 gl2450 overclocked to 75hz for a good 4-5 years now, and reverting to 60hz on that made me feel sick. now that i've seen what *this* monitor offers, i don't really care anymore. i fixed framepacing in games like counter strike (without vsync) using rivatuner and it greatly improves the experience. 60hz doesn't feel bad when it's delivered consistently, and once again the colour range makes up for it. just make sure to get an appropriate cable to run it at full res & refresh rate. i just opted for a bog standard displayport to be on the safe side.in conclusion: if you want to compete at a high level, choose a high refresh rate 1ms monitor. otherwise, this is a very decent price-to-performance 1440p panel that's good enough for gaming and has factory calibrated sRGB coverage. hope this helps someone

Love this monitor
Love this monitor, bought it to replace my old one which was actually a TV (if you're a regular computer user, I don't recommend using a TV as a PC monitor for your eyes).Quite bright, lots of colour settings, high quality display, just the right size, and there's a nice feature on it where it can subtly remind you to take breaks every few minutes. Also has a cool feature where it can sense when nobody is in front of the monitor and switches off to sleep, then when you come back it wakes up to save power (and you having to switch it on and off yourself)Highly recommend!

BenQ BL2420PT
I have this screen for almost a year now for general use including office job, coding and graphic design. It is one of the better monitors I used and as IT specialist I used a lot. It is sharp monitor with adjustable height. But what I like the most is the accuracy of the colours, build quality and great viewing angles. Price-wise it is affordable, but in a league with bigger brands. Highly recommended.
