This year was the first year for me to host Thanksgiving dinner for my husbands relatives, I was very nervous and wanted it to prepare as good as I possibly could.I did not have a large knife to cut turkey, I decided to buy one and at first my idea was to buy a new expensive knife set. My best friend’s son goes to culinary school, so I called him to find out which set should I buy - his suggestion was just to buy a chiefs knife and see if I am even using it, I might not need a large set but this would be something I most likely get to use a lot.I followed the advice, did extensive research on Amazon and decided to buy this one. What affected my decision was that I like the wooden handle, I love the protective sleeve and very happy that it comes with a little thing to sharpen the knife.The knife went so much above my expectations, I am very happy with it. I was able to cut turkey nice and neat, the pieces came out perfectly as the knife was really large and sharp, yet easy to operate and my first Thanksgiving dinner got a lot of compliments. I was very happy and proud of myself.Since then, I got to use the knife for salad, watermelon, fish, meat - pretty much everything. I am very happy with my purchase, if you are hesitant - go for it, you would be disappointed.

So, I recently got into cooking steaks at home for myself.I figured, why pay someone else a lot of money to do something I can do better, and enjoy doing, on my own.And I figured, why not pick up a cool, badass looking meat knife!Let me begin by saying this knife is SHARP!It cuts through a NY Strip like butter.I mainly use it to cut meat and veggies. It's not one of those outdoor knives I would wanna use on wood or dirt.The sheath it comes with is a nice addition... and so is the little sharpening tool.You'll need to sheath this bad boy (if you don't want to accidentally cut your finger grabbing it from the knife drawer.)It's that sharp.And the best part? You don't have to spend hundreds for such a cool looking, useful knife.AND you'll feel like a Viking using it.

This is food grade, super sharp, cut anything, last forever knife.At the camp kitchen, THIS IS IT !!! I will never bring a kitchen knife to a camp site again. This knife is more sharp than any kitchen knife I own.I would not use this for whittling, carving, splitting wood, or throwing at a target.The point narrows down to nothing and is therefore delicate. Do NOT jab this knife into a tree, picnic table, stump, or anything else. The tip could easily break. If you want to throw a knife into a tree or other target, get a different knife. There are plenty of them out there. 15 degree edge. That's sharp. Most are 22 or wider. Warning, I cut the keeper on the sheath without even knowing it.The handle is well above the blade. This means neither your knife handle or your fingers will touch the cutting board or table during normal use. That's a very important feature when you are chopping carrots, onions, lettuce, celery, or meat. It slices a tomato like a dream.This is not your all around camp knife! Don't go digging in the soil or scraping around.It will easily cut rope, leather, plastic, cloth or wood. And in a pinch I think it would be quite adequate for self defense. While camping I plan on wearing the sheath and keeping it handy. But, I will be using it almost exclusively for food preparation. And for that, few camp knives can compete, especially at this price.

Okay this thing is pretty awesome. It's like having a badass outdoor knife in your kitchen 😅. It feels really nice because of the weight and the curvature of the handle with that bonus hole to put your finger in and really get a hold of that knife. However as in the picture (healing up), I would not recommend twirling the knife via the finger hole because you're going to want to do it... But be aware this night is very very sharp. I cut myself twice within a week one because of the well you know lol .. But one other time when I just kind of bumped the knife reaching for something I cut and it was laying on the cutting board.. nothing crazy just kind of a little tap and it cut pretty deep actually.So if you're looking for a very rugged looking knife that is razor sharp and feels like it's going to last for a long time then hit that by button.I would also recommend this for any hunters as a good game knife. Because of the control of this knife and the shape you can get in a lot of good places to really cut that meat from the bone and it comes with a sheath that will attach to a belt.The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I've only had it for a few weeks now so I don't know long-term longevity as far as sharpness and possible rusting. I don't keep it wet but with any knife that's always a concern.Also, not sure if they all come needing oil or something on the wood but mine was pretty dry. I waxed it with some butcher block carnauba.

NEVER HAVE I EVER, HAD A REALLY GOOD KNIFE (I AM CHEAP, AND MOST ARE WAY TO EXPENSIVE, NOT PAYING 300 FOR A KNIFE!) THIS WAS ONLY LIKE 20 BUCKS IT IS GREAT, WELL MADE, HEAVY, HAS HOLE FOR YOUR FINGER, CUTS RAW MEAT, HARD VEGGIES, CARROTS WITH OUT THEM FLYING ALL OVER THE KITCHEN, BUT BE VERY CARFEL AND SCARED OF IT, CUT MY FINGER THE OTHER DAY, JUST BARLEY TOUCHED IT, WENT DEEP, BUT IT WAS A VERY CLEAN CUT, HEALED UP VERY FAST, BUT THAT IS ANOTHER STORY!

Knife is good. Cuts right through meats, breads, tomatoes. It’s an all purpose knife in my kitchen. I absolutely love it.

I love this knife! It cuts through thick cuts of meat like butter, but also works well with more delicate foods such as mushrooms, tomatoes and olives. It's also great for chopping up foods like spinach. Its solidity makes me believe it will last for many years. If you're short on storage space and don't want a separate knife for chopping vegetables, this is one worth buying.
