The top gets crazy hot
I bought this for my wife and It's perfect. the mesh holder inside has small enough holes to not let any of the trash get out from the leaf tea we use. The only shock was when first pouring you naturally place your finger on the top to stop it from spilling. DO NOT DO THIS the shiny nob burnt our fingers as it just absorbs the heat. You do not have to as the lid fits very snuggly on just trust the handle and pour and you will be fine.

absolute rubbish
DO NOT BUY THIS PROUCT!!! Absolutely disgusting that they are advertising an infused teapot complete with stainless steel outter and lid and infuser. What actually arrived was just a replacement glass teapot beaker and that is what is stated on the outside of the box. I am very angry as there is no way of contacting these people directly and I am stuck with it or have the inconvenience of sending it back and paying postage, This product is not what I paid and asked for and I paid £21 for a glass beaker. Very unhappy. I a, only giving it one star because it would not let me bypass without putting any!

Nasty wire infuser lifter
The teaport lookedappealing, but after I lifted its lid to reach down to pull up the infuser sieve by its wire lifter, the lifter snapped against my finger causing much pain. The wire is not hinged nor is it welded to the infuser sieve. It has a sharp prong on either end, and the wire's tensile strength keeps it in place. Unless during general home use it loosens to spring back into your face.Nevertheless we are keeping the teapot because its tea capacity is a very good 1.2 litre. Instead we lift the infuser sieve up with a fingernail. We shouldn't have to do that, and, are disappointed because the teapot made by Le Cafetiere is made in England whose manufacturing quality should be high, therefore unquestionable.Should you buy this product please be aware of the nasty wire lifter and be very careful it doesn't springf up and hit you in the face!

Very poor quality.
Very poor quality for the price, the glass and copper colour surface has many imperfections. It is just NOT worth the price, looks like a cheap Chinese knock off, the cups we bought from them were just as bad. Won't be using this comp again, their advertising pictures of products look much better than they really are. Junk to throw away!

Sadly not great.
Was lookinh forward to this teapot. Sadly when washing it retains water between the glass & stainless steel. Not matter how much I try to detatch the glass it wont budge. Also the lid does not secure & gets burning hot so its a hazard.Would not recommend.

Very good teapot - does what it needs to do and looks good
This is an excellent teapot at a great price. I am not a heavy tea drinker - but have been more since I received this. Brews very well, looks excellent, cleans easily. If there are remarks, then these are it:- it really is smaller than I imagined, but that has to do with 1200ml being less than I thought. So not loss of the five star rating there.- I noticed that there can be water between the glass and the inox construction around it - it is hardly noticeable. Just dry it upside down and that's solved. No loss of stars either.- But my biggest gripe is that the lid is difficult to remove to the point of being afraid that I would one day break it. Ok, it needs to stick on when pouring, but this is overdone. I suppose it is a problem with the one specific unit I have though and it is not enough to send it back. It is enough for me to remove one star.EDIT on 20111228: I took a point of the score because of the lid. A few days after I posted the initial review, the glass pouring tip indeed broke off while trying to remove the lid. I had done it a few times already and I guess I became a bit careless. Anyhow, I have written Amazon about it. They immediately sent me a replacement, which I received mere days later. The lid is far more easy to remove now - making it an excellent and well-priced choice.

Stylish
I love this copper teapot, we leave it out on view in our kitchen & everyone compliments how beautiful it is. As far as functionality, works as expected, keeps tea hot for quite a while so you don’t have to feel rushed to drink up. Easy enough to clean, even if the loose tea does get stuck sometimes in the filter, it’s worth it.

My third teapot and by far the best. Unlike others
My third teapot and by far the best. Unlike others, the glass seems less thin and this does not drip whilst pouring. Although the lid does get hot, again unlike others I have used, it does not fall off whilst pouring as it sits firmly within the teapot.
