Epoxy Paint White Tub and Tile Refinishing Kit - Odorless Countertop Paint for Bathroom Tiles, Furniture, Cabinets - 35 oz

The bath in the place I rent was awful so I used this to freshen it up and it has been AMAZING!!! I did notice some streaking with the brush at first but I was able to go over it a couple of times with each coat to get it smoothed out. I also did 4 coats, rather than the 2-3 it recommended and I let it sit for 72 hours prior to using the shower. I completed this almost a month ago and it still looks brand new. If you plan on purchasing this, just know, it does take patience and time to get it to look good. What people aren't thinking about is this is a $30.00 DIY solution, not a professional grade job and product.

3 weeks into the paint job and the bathtub paint is peeled off half way. It started just 3 days after I painted the bathtub. Now, the paint is clotting the tub every day. I will have to scratch off and sand the whole surface and repaint again.I think the main issue is that the kit didn't really come with a hardening agent was described in the instructions, which are very vague. Instead it came with a "Crosslinking agent" which is found nowhere in the instructions. So, I did assume that perhaps that "Crosslinking agent" has the hardening solution, and poured into the paint. Again, that's my wild guest.Initially the bathtub looked really great, with a pure white color that was amazing. Then the peeling off started going and hasn't stopped.

The media could not be loaded. Ok y’all, see my pics. After over a year, some spots started chipping. My fault, I put a step ladder in the tub to paint without bracing the feet. Ok, so this time I went a little creative and added food coloring and iridescent glitter and I am obsessed with the results! I love Behr paint color “chic pink” and to achieve the color, I added 5 drops of red food coloring and 3 drops of yellow, mixed it all up, then added some iridescent rose gold glitter. The package says don’t add stuff but honestly, I love my personally styled tub and shower, so pretty!! If I had to do over again, I would not add the glitter because the color came out. But the texture difference gave it a nice sort of sandy feel. The original white has a Teflon feeling finish, and the glitter made it a little more coarse.I recommend if you’re going to add color, do so sparingly, and mix well. As with any colored paint, it dries darker, so be careful. I’m super happy with this product, highly recommend it!! The kit comes with all you need to do 2-3 coats on your whole shower and tub. I have a little extra paint even. I recommend also going over the curves of your tub thoroughly, especially the bottom corners. If you added color, mix your paint every coat for consistent coverage.This was my old review: Read the instructions, clean, and sand the surfaces. Take time to sand well! Wear a mask and safety glasses to avoid fine powder in your eyes. Change out your clothes after sanding before painting. Wipe surface clean with a damp cloth, vacuum debris to avoid painting over fine dust as this will cause the paint to set in chunks. Take time to tape off faucets. Be patient and let the first coat dry. Oh my goodness, I am so happy with the finished look! Check out the before and after pictures for comparison! The product dries with a Teflon feeling finish. It went from dingy off white to sparkling bright white and I am so happy, it’s like a brand new shower and tub! My bathroom looks bright and clean after applying this to the tub and shower walls. It was enough paint for two coats on the whole surface. I am very happy with the results!! Cleans easily after one week of curing, don’t use harsh abrasives or chemicals for the first week but you can shower 24 hours after the second coat of product. Actually, the whiter picture is only the first coat. I’m not sure why the third pic didn’t upload. The finished result is bright white solid, no patchiness, I’m really happy with it. A year later, 2024, I just have to paint some chips that appeared in the tub, but it’s still holding up nicely overall and I bought the product a second time to recoat it soon.

I purchased West prime product to paint my kitchen sink. There was so much left over that. I went ahead and repaint it my shower walls. It works great. I love it.

The kit worked for me. It was easy to use on my tub/shower. I used it in the guest bathroom, which does not get a lot of daily use, so I suspect it may hold up for a while.

I followed the directions perfectly, but this stuff streaks and does not self level. The brush they provide leaves streaks and the bristles fall out as you work. The roller creates bubbles and texture. I ended up having the scrape it all off with a razor blade the next day. It was awful and so is this product.

I have purchased many of these kits before. I love that this kit comes with everything you need which most kits do not. So it's $46 which is an average cost but you save a lot not buying other supplies. I haven't had a chance to use this yet but my experience with kits of all brands is that they're generally all the same. Make sure you have plenty of ventilation!

Don’t waste your money, at least for me it was a waste of money. Left my shower all streaky looking, I followed the instructions as per manufacturer. I am now going to have to buy a better refinishing kit to redo my shower and tub. “you get what you pay for”.
