Very affordable but super capable mid-level IR camera.
Uni-T as an extensive line of affordable test equipment and this camera is one prime example. Starting from the sturdy hard case to the items inside, everything is of good quality. The camera itself has all the options I need (USB to charge or connect to PC as a webcam, WiFi to a cellphone/tablet, etc.). The mid 320x240 pix IR camera resolution is a bit of a step-up and really good for finding more detailed hotspots (hot overloaded electrical wiring, connections or components, loss of insulation on heating pipes, etc.). The menu system is well designed and easy to navigate. Very satisfied with the product.

It's red, it's expensive, and it's kinda fun
I have never owned a thermal camera before, so not sure how to review this. The battery is a bit schizophrenic. It has 2 modes: fully charged and dead. Seems like something I shouldn't need to worry about given the cost.I really expected more, but again, I had no idea what to expect. I guess in thermal camera town you pay a lot and get a little. The refresh rate doesn't seem to be even close to what is advertised. I'd say something around 5 FPS tops.Having the images show up on your phone required a sketchy app and some gyrations.Hybrid mode, where the thermal and the optical layers are joined together is weird. Unaligned and not that useful. Seems like a feature nobody asked for but looks good on marketing collateral. The default values are pretty solid. Shows the highest and lowest temps in the frame at all time as well as the center (where you are pointing it).Maybe it has this feature, but I can't seem to find it: Like AE lock on an SLR. Stop friggen autoscaling everything. As you move it around, the scale changes. What was white hot is now cool. I just want to lock the scaling. Maybe you can. Good luck. But still I give it 4 stars because it has been useful, is easy to use, and is fun
