Excellent product although a little complex to use, but this is due to the current state of the art and not the product itself. I use it to program a domestic boiler with Google Home. The Tuya intermediary application is required. It allows different rights, for example short-term landlord, and tenant. The problems to be solved by programming are 1 - the fact that after a power cut the switch systematically goes into the ON state, and 2 - that some Google commands can be lost in the event of a problem with the wifi box. Overall, very good product, I recommend it.

Initially pleased as easy to install and set up.Software to program times quite straightforward.However, it does need the time guard server to be working to use it at all.If the server fails you have an expensive on off switch which you have to turn on/off manually.Server outages last days and makes it not worth having.We are on a variable tariff so need to be able to change program often which can be done if working correctly.No timings are stored on the switch so once connection is lost so is programming.Would recommend avoiding this product and investigating alternatives.Very disappointed in it now.No easy way to contact support either and no online information from the company on outages - check out trust pilot reviews too.We were early adopters before problems became known.

I installed a pre owned 2.2Kw storage heater in my lounge and changed my tariff to Octopus Agile where the cost can change every 30mins. (my property doesn't have a separate off peak circuit)Now I can use the app to set the on and off times to the cheapest rates anywhere within a 24hr period, including having multiple on \ offs.Octopus pay me to use leccy when there's a surrplus (often when it's windy) so I can charge the heater and reduce my daily bill! For example, on 4th July, it cost me 73p for 12.8kw. I usually save 10-46% compared to their fixed tariff. Most expensive period is 4-7pm but cheapest is not always overnight - often1-4pm is.The Octopus Watch app gives me 24hr of rates daily from 4pm so it's easy to amend the chargingschedule and also know the cheapest time to use my washer/drier.The Timeguard and Tuya Smart app, with Octoplus Agile have been a gane changer and it's great to have a warm lounge instead of needing 5layers of clothes.I didn't have any problems pairing it with my Plusnet router, nor the Tuya app.

I already had one of these controlling the house outside lights. When we put up a double garage I installed another to control the garage outside lights. The electrician installed the spur but the wifi was down to me. What a nightmare! I did as they said and switched off the 5mhz wifi connection but failed after many attempts. I then looked on Amazon review and very helpfully got some instructions which worked for me. So if you cant pair your switch follow this to see if it solves your problem. This tens to be a problem for BT smart hubs - probably something to do with the settings firewall or something but thats a bit techy for me. Anyway this is what I did in order:L1.Downlad the app and follow the login process2. If you have a dual band router login and turn of the 5mhz.3. On the phone with the app turn off your wifi4. On a second phone - you are going to create a hostpot with the login credentials of yoru router so rename the phone to the router name and set the hotspot password to your router password5. Turn on wifi on the phone with the app and ensure you loginto the hotspot network6. Follow the pairing instructions - put the hotpsot = router name (should autopopulate) and enter the hotspot = router password; enter name for deviece aking sure there are no spaces; then press start!This worked first time for me! You can then turn your 5mhz wifi back on and put the other phone back to the old settings - name etcI can now programme both the devices I have from my phone through the app and it works brilliantly! Well happy! Hope this helps someone having pairing issues!

This is product is a really great idea. I use it for my hot water cylinder and can now control my hot water from anywhere. So when we went on holiday last year forgetting to turn off the timer settings, I was able to do so; all the way from Mexico!!!Also, the customer service is excellent. As mentioned already, needs to be set up on 2.4GHz. Fairly basic app but easy to use.

My manual timer controller for my immersion hot water system was starting to fail. I had too many cold showers (1 is too many right), so I decided to get a new timer. I also wanted to be able to add more flexibility to the control than just on off, on off, at the same time each day, as well as the added flexibility of being able to change the schedule, or switch off completely while I am away. Having looked around, I could only find this time switch that was able to be controlled remotely, so I decided to go for it. I was not disappointed. The switch is relatively easy to install, if you are confident with electrical wiring. You might need some longer screws to fix it into the the existing electrical box, but they are cheap enough, I found some extensions that did the job perfectly. The app is easy to find and install, and the account setup is simple. Adding the device is quite easy to do. and once it is setup you can access and change the timing schedule from anywhere, via your phone. Great product.
