UPDATE THE SHELL IS CHEAP
UPDATE.....WELL here we are 11 months later and the shell on this computer is CRAP it started breaking and now the screws that hold the bottom to the keyboard have broken and the screen just flops around and the required parts to fix it people are charging a mint for replacement bottoms and keyboard shells never again will I buy a cheap blue computer the gray one they were selling looked way sturdier but blue is my favorite color shame on me Well what can you say about a $499. Computer for $223 it was the color I ordered but the case creeks when you open it the pad with the mouse sticks the battery only last 1 1/2 hours I should have paid for an extended warranty but I get stupid and trust that things work even if they are refurbished the Toshiba I bought my wife was refurbished and works great and my fault I tossed the box it came in so I will continue to use it other then what little things are wrong it's a really nice computer

Garbage
This computer is utter trash. Shortly after the product arrived, maybe two months, and less than five uses because I usually use my IPad; the machine/computer wouldn’t boot up. Had to jump thru hoops with tech support to get it up and running. Now, just under a year of ownership, it won’t power on and there is a pixelated line at the top.Went thru Gateway and they want me to PAY to ship it back to them. They further want me to pay for a packing supplies and pack it carefully! Thing is when I arrived home from work, it was sitting on my front porch in the box they packed it in at the warehouse. There was no external box, with packing or “bubble packing” all the stuff they want me to ship it to them in.Again, the computer was rarely used, never dropped or damaged. Yet, it has issues. This computer is trash. I do not recommend purchasing a Gateway computer unless you want a paper weight, or enjoy wasting your hard earned money.
