Works ok -- but big caution
Does the job, easy to install -- but you can get it for 1/2 the price at a big box store. My caution has nothing to do with the bar support itself, but with the installation of the shelves. The caution: You may need to install additional support brackets under the shelves to make sure your shelving unit doesn't rip out of the wall. The bracket packages don't say how much weight they will support, but the recommended spacing is 36". That might work if your shelves are installed into studs and are short shelves. But if you have longer shelves installed on drywall, it may not support the weight of the rod and clothes when you slide clothes toward one end. Clothes are heavy! Then you end up with a shelf ripped out of the wall, drywall dust all over everything, bent support brackets, and a big job ahead of you getting the shelf back up.It happened to me. The rods went up easy in 5 or 10 minutes using these hanger bar supports. But 24 hours later came the big crash as one of the long shelves ended up on the floor. As it turns out, my shelves were installed into drywall using ordinary drywall anchors (the little plastic things). Closetmaid's website says for drywall installation: "Drill 1/2" holes and secure to the wall with toggle bolts." The packages containing the extra shelf support brackets include the the plastic anchors, not toggle bolts. No wonder so many people complain that their shelves fall down.If you are going to add a rod, might as well add an additional shelf support bracket or two, unless you're absolutely sure that your shelves are screwed into studs. And use toggle bolts on drywall instead of the supplied anchors. It's a cheap ounce of prevention, and easy to do when your shelves are still up, not lying crumpled on the floor.

Materials were cheap feeling.
I ordered these for my dad. He had to modify the holes to utilize the provided screws. Cheap quality materials.

EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED
These hooks were exactly what I needed. The screws took a little power, but they were super easy to install and they are very stable. I picked up a closet rod from Home Depot, and it snapped in perfectly. I have a lot of hangers on this bar and you can see in the photo there is no sagging or bowing. I’ve tried multiple hooks, and I am glad that I finally found these.

Bought 2 and 1 doesn't fit around the closet bar.
I purchased 2. One of them fit the rod and installed quickly. The second exact same part was not the same diameter and did not fit around the rod. I am u able to use the 2nd piece to fix the closet.

Perfect
I used these to put a slider rod in my closet. I hate the wire racks that have support sections along the hanging area. These mounts along with the slider bars are exactly what I needed.

Not universal - don’t use with rod extension
The channels for the rod are snug on the closetmaid rod, but work, UNLESS you have the extension piece. The extension slides over the original rod, so is thicker, and cannot ever fit into the channel. Even when used without the extension, it’s really hard to tighten the screws, so be prepared for an arm workout & use a good screwdriver.

Easy to install.
Perfect! Holds and supports the clothing rod perfectly. It was exactly what I was looking for and it was easy to install! (I recommend 3 for a standard size rod.)
