great cruiser cog
I put this bigger cog on my coaster brake cruiser and now I can climb a few of the local hills without having to stand on the pedals. It fit my wheel just fine, but I did have to add a link of chain to make the whole thing work. None of my local bike shops carry anything like this; I was glad to be able to find it on amazon.

Stamped steel cog plated
BION, going from stock 21t to 22t smoothed out my ride. Used with 3/8 chain, supposed to accept both, but not tried. Buy a stupid retainer clip too. I cannot say here how much I hate "s*** clips", a typical UK fiddlement.

Works well
It has been used on a beach cruiser for one month with no problems. It felt very weak and odd at first to be in such a low gear (4.0 gain ratio), but after 40 minutes I adapted and it felt normal. It's possible to get tired using this sprocket since it's so easy to put energy into the drive train. My average speed increased on a recent long ride and my legs got tired, so it didn't make cycling effortless. Now I pedal slowly to enjoy riding around with minimal effort. It's amazing to take 20 mile rides on a heavy steel bike with cargo and steadily make progress without stress. The bike works well in strong headwinds. The sprocket makes climbing hills much easier.I have another Shimano sprocket with 20 teeth, and the 22T is just as well made and functional. It's great for the last 1/4th of long, all day rides. Speed goes down, but so does recovery time. Excellent bike part.

Great way to gear down your 3-speed
Our new 3-speed bikes are great, but we live in hilly country, and the 16-tooth cogs they came with result in gears that are much too high. By changing to these 22-tooth cogs, we can climb hills without standing or panting too much, while still being able to quickly descend the other side. The way I look at it, most riding on a 3-speed should be in the middle gear. With the old ratios, we spent most time in low. Much better now!You may have to add a link to your chain to accommodate the additional teeth, though our bikes didn't require that.

Four Stars
Just what I needed to help on the hills and install was a snap on the Nexus 3 hub.

22 teeth Shimano Sprocket
Well, it was worth it. My daughter likes the way it pedals now since it has 4 teeth more than the original that came with her Mongoose BMX. No need to stand up to start pedaling and she did not care that her bike is a lot slower on the straight away. The only thing about the Shimano is that the material is a a bit thinner and it has a small amount of side to side play even after installing the retainer snap ring.
