Excellent piece of kit, painted 3 wooden sheds with it so not just for metal.

I have an old shed which was beginning to leak from a couple of places in the flat roof, so rather than having to replace the entire roof I applied this bitumen paint. Brilliant, so easy to apply, also very effective and good coverage. Did the job very quickly and so for good measure put a second coat on a couple of days later. Dries to a nice smooth finish too. Odd spill marks cleaned off straightaway with white spirit, and the tin even comes complete with a brush which can be thrown away rather than trying to clean. Also comes with decent working gloves to avoid the inevitable splash on your hands. Great product, one dry shed and one happy customer. Highly recommended.

good size if you dont want to buy a lot of paint

I used to use isoflex liquid rubber on my garage roof until a friend recommended I use Black Jack. To be honest I was skeptical beforehand but once I opened the tin I was impressed by the viscosity of the paint. It spread really easily and it dried in about 4 hours. It rained the next day and I was very impressed with the performance of this product. I have purchased this item twice in the last week. Fully recommend to anyone using on a felt roof of any thickness.

My shed roof was leaking and I couldn't afford to have it recovered in new felt l remembered blackjack from many years ago and couldn't believe you could still get it. I purchased two tins but only really needed one so gave it an extra coat. All good no leakes even after a very wet winter. Full marks to the product.

This item was delivered well before the delivery date. Needed to work on the house at the weekend, glad it came on a Friday.I’ve never worked with a bitumen paint, however, I read some reviews to keep in hot water as it would then be more ply-able. That’s what I did. When it cooled down was a little harder to apply.Still finishing off painting wood but once done, aim to ply on some old roof felt. Cannot comment on whether it’s water resistant at the moment.

The tar brushes I bought with this are not stiff enough to even dip in it so get a decent stiff fence brush. Excellent stuff but takes ages to apply to old wood if not thinned. Used neat one 5ltr can did my shed of 12ftx8ft. Unlike shed paint this gear does not need three coats!! Make sure you cover the nail heads with it and good luck. A brilliant product so I've bought some more.
