Q: Is there enough room inside to Allow for an led and fibre optics for lights?

Hmm, maybe in the main hull there would be some space but the neck has next to no space at all, a thin strand of optic could possibly be sandwiched between the parts to feed the bridge structure but its a VERY tall order to light this palm kit. I would place the led in the bace then run the optics up into the kit? Going to need some extremely small drill bits too.
