Designed in conjunction with the legendary Slayer guitarist, this beastly, tattoo-covered pedal sports the same great features and hardcore construction as the M-108, but the King can punish two amps at once thanks to its dual outputs.

Quiet, Effective, and Transparent - Worth Every Penny
I have tried several equalizers, and the KFK1 is one of my two favorites. It is quiet, effective, and transparent - something I find lacking in cheaper alternatives. The 10 bands offer very good control over the tone response. If you don't need the second output, you can save $20 and get the MXR non-signature version.BTW, my other favorite is the Empress ParaEq - a fine product, but a product with a notably different feature set, and one which I personally use for somewhat different purposes. Best addition to my gear rack!
I'll keep this short and to the point. I am a metal player, and a Slayer fan at heart - this pedal is a must have for that reason alone. I also play in cover bands, and I NEED to be able to alter my tone, rather the aggressiveness of it, willingly; this pedal is a must have for that too. I also play two Marshall JCM800 2203 stacks - this pedal can run both heads without an expensive input buffering unit... because it is one of those too!I use this between the guitar and head, shaping the sound of my guitar; other guys put it in the effects loop, but I think there are better tools for that than this pedal (but those guys all love how it works too, so don't discount that as an option). Kerry King uses very aggressive tone shapes, a "middle finger" he calls it, with the peak at 1k hz. I peak the tone around the same point, but not quite as severely - my touch is more subtle, but it still goes from Slayer-style guitar brutality to a more reserved touch with just a tap of the switch. I like that control!I also experiment with the fact you can adjust the gain and volume boost of this pedal. For years, OD pedals in front of distorted amps was the way to get that horrible buzzy distortion that made death metal sound the way it did, but excellent distortion comes from clean boost - this has it. AND you can still tailor the tone with 10 sliders instead of rotating a single knob one way or the other for "less treble".In all, this is the most useful pedal in my arsenal. I DO NOT gig without it. And by the way it is built, I trust it to run for decades without a problem.

Buy a noise gate too...
It makes so much noise. No matterwhat power supply I use or what cables I use this pedal does not like to be on. I got this new and it has always made a crazy amount of noise and static.

Crispy
Adds clarity and a crispness to your sound... well mine anyways. You can have it do whatever you want for your own, but the difference is most definitely noticeable. Rock on... or jazz... or classical on, whatever your thing is.
