Really great value
It's not a huge price of steel, but it comes prehardened. It took a very nice edge. I suspect many people are trying to redo the heat treat and having issues with it. The real awesome part of this is that it has a core steel (must be 1095 or 1084) and it really looks amazing when you grind the bevel. Be sure to keep it cool while you grind or you will ruin the temper of the steel! For $20 it's a great product.

Import information before buying!
The media could not be loaded. The quality is great! No voids or delamination! This is clad VG-10 (stainless) damascus and it is small. The size is roughly 1"x6"x.010". You get about one blade worth of steel, and some leftover for jewelry/ keychains. IT MUST BE ANNEALED FIRST BEFORE YOU CAN DRILL IT!! It come already hardened. Simplest way to anneal is to put it in the kiln for 40 mins at 1400° and let it cool down to the touch inside the kiln (about 3 to 4 hours). Remember, this is stainless damascus...it will NOT etch in anything except muric acid. Make sure the piece is cleaned and oil free (I clean with acetone) and put it in the muric acid. It will take about 30 mins to etch if all goes to plan. Good luck!

Small but great pattern.
I dont do MM’s so I was expecting a full sized billet. Was alil disappointed till I made the lil knife w it. But the pattern was awesome. It’s like 40-50 layers on each side w a carbon core. The knife looks amazing. Just wish it was bigger to make a chefs knife like original intended. But I’d def buy it again. These are perfect for folding/pocket knife blades.
