Works well
Works well with the little boss katana amp recommended.

It works.
Much though I 'love' Roland, I balked at the price of the official AC PSU for my mobile cube ( a useful way of being able to use my guitars, synth and even my laptop either off-grid with six AA batteries, or with access to AC, from a power bar ).There is nothing particularly complicated about producing a stable regulated PSU which provides a specified output, both in voltage, polarity and amperage of the current supplied, and there's nothing 'cowboy' or cheapskate about this product which is appreciably less expensive than the 'official' Roland product. Doubtless Roland would quibble if a PSU issue damaged my Mobile Cube, which is supplied without an AC PSU - albeit at a good RRP - but I doubt if that risk is very high, as this unit appears to be well-made and is compliant with the standards one might expect from a responsible manufacturer. It annoys me when manufacturers seem to adopt a strategy of selling a piece of kit at a reasonable price, but then omit essential components, and profiteer from the sale of their own branded whizzo-gizmos to go with the bargain I originally leapt at, by selling it at four times the price of a non-branded equivalent. I'm not keen on travelling the world leaving a trail of exhausted alkaline cells behind me (and I'm prepared to obey Roland's exhortation that I don't try to use rechargeable batteries in my Mobile Cube) so I see the AC PSU as part of the essential product offering, rather than an accessory. It's as if a car manufacturer sold a car without tyres, and then insisted you bought their own branded tyres at four times the price of equivalent spec tyres on the open market. So this reasonably priced PSU which meetsd Roland's specs perfectly is worth it!

ideal for boss katana mini.

Ok
Well it works fine, only very minor observation is that there is slight, very slight, earthing hum now from the amp which didn’t have withe the original, also the lead is about 10 inches shorter than the original

It’s not a proper PSB-1U replacement
It’s described as a replacement for the Roland PSB-1U (and even says this on the cardboard box) but it’s not the same spec. The real Roland unit is rated at 2.0A output, but this adapter is only 1.0A. Describing it as a true replacement isn’t right. If you’re lucky, and your unit that you are powering draws 1 amp or less, it should work ok. If you need more, you’ll be out of luck. I would imagine you will suffer one of mains ripple/hum, the power supply running too hot or shutting down. It may even damage your device if the output is struggling to cope and not able to regulate normally.I was lucky, my Juno-D only required 0.7A (I measured it), so the unit did work.I’m an electronic engineer so was able to determine suitability but I am annoyed to have bought a unit that’s described incorrectly.

Good value for money
Much cheaper than the brand name adapter but does the job.

Not a PSB 1U replacement.
This IS NOT a replacement for the Roland PSB-1U. The original is 2A this is only 1A. This risks damage to your equipment.

It powers
It powers my boss katana mini but I get buzz, not sure if it is the supply or my house.
