Two main points here: 1. This clock is gorgeous and by far the most attractive one on here at its price point. As others mentioned, it IS definitely a dark brown color, so be advised before purchasing. 2. The pendulum does sway a little faster, BUT it hasn't banged around like others described. Maybe that has since been corrected since I bought mine.As far as set up goes, you basically pop a nail into the wall and hang it...super simple.The size is precisely what I anticipated. The quality is superior. Accuracy is only an issue if you don't take the time to adjust the hands prior to using. They were "off" and out of wack at first.

Before my husband passed away, he wanted to have a nice clock for each of our children. We had an heirloom clock from his mother's side of the family, and we had a nice grandmother's clock he had bought me a number of years ago. Those were for our daughters. But we had never gotten a clock for my son and his wife. I found this lovely clock and knew this would be the perfect gift for them from my late husband and me. The gift was received and very much appreciated! Perfect addition to their home! (They said they especially loved that it was quiet!)

Love the quality of the wood and the beautiful gong and this makes my day to be able to look at it. Very well made and packed perfectly.

It was a sad evening when my 45 year old schoolhouse/regulator style clock stopped. It had been passed down to me. I collect clocks but most are not for everyday display, especially in a busy room with kids and pets. I didn’t want one that chimed too close too bedrooms either. So, this looked alright, as far as the photos went. It was a better match to my decor than my old one and appeared to be quality. When I opened it today it was a “meh” moment. The dial was easy to read but looked a little cheap. From where it hangs it’s not so bad. It’s nice and heavy but not too heavy. The back was trouble, it was a bit warped and when I did manage to get it in place I had to do so with the hole sitting behind the pendulum (which you can see when it swings). I’ll probably look for a permanent fix at some point. All else aside, it keeps good time and serves its purpose. My biggest gripe is the pendulum, it looks pretty ok in the photos online but in person it was fragile, bent upon receipt and looks very cheap. I had to gently straighten it with some jeweler’s pliers so it would hang straight. Now... after I hung it up and had it level, the darn pendulum was banging far to one side into the glass. So, I have it slightly off center to avoid this. I may try to replace it with a better weighted, higher quality pendulum. Yay! so it turns out that the old one from my stopped clock fits, seems to work and since the batteries for the clock and pendulum are separate, I’m not worried about the movement. In short, liked the clock but didn’t love it and hated the pendulum. I know one reviewer recommended a magnet and I understand why. If you want to keep or have to keep the pendulum, I would find that review and take their advice. I’m also still grouchy about the other one, which was made when things were a bit sturdier.

I love to hear the tick tock! With this you can open the door to hear it, or close it for quiet.My 2nd purchase with this company. My 1st was the regulator. Great clock too!If you have a question customer service is awesome! Love Lovely Home
