Make a pilot hole
Make a pilot hole with a 1/2" rebar or solid stock or the spike will break. ⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ If the spike breaks it is now only a paperweight.Other than that, this thing is solid, high quality, and heavy. I love the ease of use

Works well
All versions of this type of sprinkler work basically the same way. Being brass this is sturdier than plastic ones.

Good product
This sprinkler will stop and only spray one area at times that’s why I’m giving it 3 stars. Other than that quality product. Works well but have to watch when using because of it not rotating properly, and yes I’ve tried everything it’s the product.

Stake broke after a week
The stake broke off after a week of use, was changing positions on fairly soft soil. Our soil had rocks and it hit only one and bent the stake off at the base. Weak design.

Not super impressed or satisfied
One of the sprinklers works fine for the most part, the other is borderline garbage. Both have issues on the “return”, almost always getting stuck getting stuck. The thumbscrews are almost useless and the pass through is pointless as the sprinklers will never work without full pressure.
