Croakies Braided Leather Eyewear Retainers

Just the right length to hold my sunglasses but not mess my hair up when putting my glasses on and off!

I really like the sturdiness of the leather. The rubber bands seem sturdier than other eyeglass chains I've had. The single thing I'd change is to make it just a few inches longer. Maybe I just got used to the previous one, but this seems to get caught on my ears, collar etc sometimes. I'll revisit this review in the future depending on how long it lasts intact.Update April 2018Bought in July 2014, used daily until rubber band broke today. Leather held up great! This is the best eyeglass holder I've ever had. It outlasted and outperformed every chain, rope, etc I've ever used. I'm giving it 5 stars & reorderingUpdate August 2022Finally became unusable because ferrule came off strap after tiny metal retaining ring broke. Rubber bands tended to last as long as not overtightened, although they slide on my 3mm titanium frames. Last time I tried to buy my 4th one, they were out of stock, so I bought others that I didn't like. This style rolled leather wears like iron and is neither cold in winter like chain, nor catched in hair or shirt. I'm ordering a couple more.

I love these. Croakies always makes a great product. The only issue it that this particular product is very light and it doesn’t go past my long hair too easy. It was also very long. I did read the dimensions so maybe I should of purchased a shorter product. I did put a knot directly in the middle to shorten the retainers up a little bit. But otherwise everything is good.

We like to do ride in the boat and it only takes the wind one time knocking your glasses off before you know you need something so you don’t loose those expensive sunglasses! These are awesome because the braid is thin so you don’t feel it. I don’t like the thick bands because they tend to make me even more hot in the sun.

This was a replacement for a pair of Croakies braided leather retainers that I had for years. These look and feel like stiff, solid plastic. There is nothing braided about them. Rather than drape they stick straight out back of my head.
