This is a chocolate melter but definitely not a tempering machine. My chocolate have not even melted when it had reached the temperature I set it to. Very slow too. I make a lot of homemade chocolates for friends and I'm going back to using a microwave. Waste of money.

Love the size and just big enough for home making truffles.
