Very decent acoustic simulator at a super affordable price
The acoustic simulator pedal perfectly satisfies the curiosity I had about whether a pedal could really simulate an entirely different type of guitar. And the answer is - pretty well! It's not a perfect substitute, but does a pretty bang up imitation. It seems to scoop the mids a lot and work a bit like a reverse compressor, adding more attack and less sustain. The knobs for "body" and "top" work more or less as a bass boost and a treble boost, while the switch mainly changes the shape of the mids, to my ear. I find the "standard" mode with "volume" and "body" around noon sound best, but the "top" needs to be cranked a little higher to keep it from sounding dull. At these settings with a Strat on the neck pickup, I'm quite happy with how close it gets to swapping guitars with only a push of a button. It does add a bit of noise and hiss, but to a perfectly tolerable degree for live performance or practice, especially since you're likely not using it with distortion as well. If you do, the mid scoop becomes extra obvious, and it doesn't sound great, but might have some use in the right hands.

Great value, works just as you expect
Let me preface this review by saying that I'm certainly no expert and have not used a lot of pedals but I did actually get the other delay pedal from iSet first that has a bunch of different types of delays (Iset Digital Delay Guitar Effect Pedal with 9 Delay Modes). I didn't like it at all as it was almost impossible to get a natural sounding quickly decaying delay. It would have been useful for really in your face effects (think Pink Floyd's 'One of These Days'), but I just wanted a very small delay over the reverb, not even noticeable unless you really listened for it. This pedal does that very well and is easy to set.

Works Functionally But Tolerances Are Off
As the title says it does work as a tuner should. It's a little slow sometimes and it's not as forgiving if I let a string ring out as my D'Addario headstock tuner. But for the price I don't expect perfection. However an issue that's a little more worrying is that my DC jack has a lot of play. It's not the component that feels like it has play it feels like its firm to the PCB and the whole electronic internals are moving. It's not that big of a deal especially if you leave it plugged in but that's just a trait that I typically don't feel comfortable having in electronics. That being said I have been using this pedal for months now on a pedal board that receives frequent use but stays home. I haven't had any problems besides the ones mentioned and they're just minor gripes. (other than the power jack) It's one of the most affordable pedal tuners available and has a nice print picture below the screen. It's not perfect but overall happy with the purchase.

arrived broken...
The 3-position toggle switch at the top did not work. The pedal sounded ok, but I could not select the different settings. Build quality seems consistent with price-point.

NICE sound
This mini acoustic stimulator has nice sound. Not bad at all. I couldn't believe the sound that this produce. Everybody in my family that I bought. New acoustic guitar. I dont play acoustic often. The pedal sound good in all 3 modes. Granted not the best but for budget $25. It very nice. It can get muddy sound when not adjusted right. No power supply or fancy paper. For sound quality and budget get 5 stars.

Nice optical compressor for next to nothing!
I was looking for an always on optical compressor for an acoustic pedal board I am assembling. I bought this as it was the cheapest available at the time (and has a sandwich on it!), and it shared the same control set/ layout as another pedal that was advertised as optical.I have opened this, and can confirm the presence of an optical bug. This is a somewhat subtle compressor, which is what I was looking for. Happily, it is not too noisy like a dynacomp or similar. I can confirm it is truly true bypass. There is a slight click when engaging and disengaging the pedal, but nothing that bad, and I will always be leaving this on.Control set is fairly simple - SUSTAIN is input gain and dictates how much compression occurs. LEVEL is output volume (makeup gain at low sustain settings, output attenuation at high sustain settings). The SWITCH is simply a hi-pass filter, maybe at too-high a value (seems almost like 200Hz or more. But the real happy surprise is the TONE knob- it is not a simple treble roll off as I expected, rather it is a TILT EQ- turning the knob to the left both reduces treble and increases bass, turning the knob to the right both increases treble and reduces bass. Very powerful, and something I have only ever seen on a substantially more expensive Diamond brand bass compressor. This is powerful for backlining situations, where you might only have a minute or two to get your tone dialed in, and simplicity is the order of the day.As for reliability / customer support/quality control, I have only had the pedal a few days, if any issues come up with this, I will try to remember to update this review.

Almost does it..
Not the tightest compressor out there but it's affordable.

I am pleased by its simplicity. I achieved the same sound of a much more expensive pedal easily!
I am by no means an expert, but I have been beating on guitars for 40 years off and on. I have been experimenting with acoustic simulators, and ran across this one. I have a much more expensive pedal that can do a lot of things, but it is hard to customize. This one, is simple, just a switch, and a couple of knobs.Within 30 seconds, I had achieved the sound I wanted that was very similar to the other pedal. There is no power supply shipped with this product. It uses a standard Pedal supply..easy to come by. I did like the fact that the bottom is cushioned with a non-slip product. It is small, but of the same general design as most other pedals. My needs are simple, and this product gave me what I wanted. Keep in mind that you can only simulate Acoustic on an Electric guitar. But with a bit of patience you can get close enough to do what you often need. Plus, it is supposed to be fun!!
