Q: In reality How long does this take to dry before you can walk on it and second coat pls?

I have been using this to re-surface oak tables - it is an excellent finish - and on our dining room table seems to be very hard wearing. I left it the full 10 hours between first and second coat - for walking on a floor I would reckon 24 hours to be safe - we used our dining room table in less than that but for a floor best to be safe.

Hi Maria, I initially used "Danish Oil" on my Oak Worktop but then some red wine was spilt and left a stain so we scoured the Tinterweb and saw Osmo Polyx as highly recommended. After sanding the Danish oil out I applied two coats of Polyx - with a 1 inch brush - and I haven't looked back since. This was 6 months ago and it still looks great. Have even spilt red wine on it and after a period it just wipes off. Also, with the Danish oil when making a cuppa it would leave a ring due to the heat but with the Polyx this doesn't happen. Something to be aware, before applying the Polyx make sure you have your silicone sealant done and not the other way round as it has trouble sealing to the wood. Good luck

It's fine when it's dried, but I wouldn't let pets on it before that.

I had my parquet hall floor renovated a few years ago by a professional company. Since then I have used OSMO Polyx-oil every couple of years to keep the wood in good condition. I, like the guy from the Floor Restoration Company, use a lint free cloth. It's a hands and knees job but it allows me to spread the oil thinly onto the floor resulting in a good finish. You can buy packs of lint free cloth through Amazon. Although my hall is large it's not 50 square meters. It takes approximately 12 hours to dry before walking on it and sometimes need a second coat.
