Our modular home has a lovely, rustic wood burning fireplace, but apparently they are just for show..have been trying to decide the best thing for supplemental heat and ambiance. It took awhile, but finally decided to look at an electric log insert with heater. We decided on the Country Living 20” log insert set, mostly based on reviews, which were excellent; so glad we did, as it is perfect..not too big, not too small, so realistic and beautiful! It gives off a warm gentle heat, which is adjustable, and feel so good! It is heavy enough to be substantial, but light enough for ease of placement. So easy to install..just set it in, plug it in and turn it on..remote works great! What more can I say..we considered a more costly one, but reviews had a few consistent threads that were concerning. So happy with this unit..get one, you can’t go wrong!

I love the realistic looking logs on the top.I have a small wood burning fireplace as I live in a condo, this fit perfectly. I was so tired of cleaning up the ashes every time I had a fire but wanted one that didn't look so cheesy. It could be a little brighter but overall I am happy. The video is from my old camera phone so you don't get the full effect. I did buy a crackle box and glad I did. I also had to buy a good extension cord as my outlets are just a little bit too far away. I am happy with the heater too you can hear it when it is on but not a big deal especially because it does heat my living room up pretty good. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase but I have only had it for one day. The remote is easy to use, there is the on and off and 3 settings for the flame. If there are any issues I will update my review. Update: The light bulb went out, the company has responded and are sending me a new replacement since it is under mfg warranty. Great Company!

The best of the lot in its price range. Purchased a similar unit and was put off by its gaudy Disneyworld vibe. This one looks real and makes the living room super cozy. To enhance the effect go on youtube and play the crackling fire video. The soundtrack really adds to the effect. Can't tell it from the real thing unless you spot the cord. Best of all you can easily remove it and still build a fire when your wife isn't around to complain about the mess. By the way width is 23 inches in the back and 23.8 in the front. Almost didn't buy it since the the available width was only a hair more than 23 inches.

I love this electric fireplace it is very realistic looking awesome !! realistic looking flames.. heater works good on it or you can leave it off this looks beautiful inside my fireplace... Would very much recommend this if you're looking for a realistic fire awesome !

Love the look and the flames that bounce off the fireplace wall, but it is super noisy when you run it, and additional noise when you turn on the heater. Other than that I love it.

The media could not be loaded.  The good:- looks good on or off- heats up nicely- easy to controlThe bad:- it’s not bright enough. It still looks nice but it doesn’t bring any light to a room like a normal fire would. With just the fire on at night it is too dark to see anything and so you need candles and lamps to make up for it. Which is fine, but it slightly takes away from the cozy feel.Still a great purchase and I get a lot of compliments on it. I use “fireplace noises” on my Alexa speaker to add to the ambiance.

The media could not be loaded.  Absolutely LOVE this fireplace insert. I looked around for weeks on Amazon trying to find an insert that looked real, but wasn’t going to break the bank. This one absolutely does the job. The flame effect is most impressive at night (which makes sense), but you can see the “flames” during bright daylight too! Love that it comes with a remote, too.As for the heating aspect - it works really well! And it doesn’t leave the wood underneath the vent feeling hot, which I was worried about. Additionally, most inserts have their heat vent off to one side, which wasn’t going to work for our small fireplace since part of the vent would be blocked by the facing of the mantle. This insert has the heat coming straight from the center - which I think is just more appealing overall.It makes a low humming noise when it’s on, but I barely notice it. It doesn’t make fire crackling sounds, but I simply bought a sound machine that I play alongside of this when I turn it on. It really is great for the price! Similar inserts go for around $200. I am very pleased.

The media could not be loaded.  In my research I looked at numerous brands. I was not searching for a heater... Just some pretty ambiance. This Country Living unit was perfect. I was most impressed by the realistic "glowing ash". I also loved the lighter- color painted logs when the unit is turned off. I drilled a hole in the back of my piece of country furniture in order to run the cord through, to hide the unsightly cord. (I was lucky enough to have an electrical outlet behind the furniture). I wanted to mimic a real fireplace so I added my version of an old fashioned fireback (courtesy of Hobby Lobby). I also added a Walmart coal shovel and poker. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH THIS SET OF FIRE LOGS!

I had ordered two other fireplace inserts and returned them. This one is excellent. If you didn't look closely, you would assume that it's real. I use my google mini to add fireplace sounds and it has fooled many guests! An excellent product!
