LEGO Ideas - Nasa Apollo - Saturn V (21309)

This took 9 1/2 hours to build this is by far the best Lego set I have ever built it’s a well thought out set & looks very realistic just like the real ones in the Kennedy & Johnston space centres which I have seen it’s a bit fiddly on some parts but got through itWould recommend this set to anyone to build & add to their collection

Arrived bang on time. Saved the build for the weekend and managed to complete - around other activities - by Sunday evening. A solid and wonderfully engineered piece of kit, fabulous level of detail and just enough of a challenge to keep you focused. While it should / could disassemble into the three 'phases' it's not a straight fwd pop on and off. The final result is at a scale that sits impressively, full length, in the living room and not part of the kids 'toys'. On the Lego site they say this set is discontinued - so I suggest for any Apollo / Nasa enthusiast, you get one soon. It's worth every penny.

A truly awesome lego set of one of the most iconic space ships of the 20th century. Apollo 11 launched in 1969 and that's how many pieces you get, which i thought was a nice touch. Built over a weekend, model looks amazing. Plenty of work went into the design of this model, clearly shows when building it as well. Instructions are good, a couple of times you need to really look at what is supposed to going on, but otherwise fine. A truly great set, and for those of us who the moon landings live, this model will rekindle those memories for sure.

Lego kit was a blast to build. The final outcome was huge and sits lengthways on our piano!As far as the seller goes - product arrived with a hole punched through the exterior packaging and through the leg box itself. Not so good.

So far so good, i haven't created the whole thing yet but the first three packets gave me intense joy. The instructions are clear, concise and very easy to follow. I would have liked a bit more attention paid to the boxing i.e. the bags are just thrown in to the box, that in and of itself does not detract from this wonderful model but I would have thought that at this price you would expect individual compartments etc and a box that opens on the front side, (large side). But hey ho I got this for my 55th birthday and I'm loving it, I just wish there are more models like this.

Surprisingly easy to build, nice and weighty and all breaks apart into individual elements of the Saturn V. So much fun, I'm most certainly an adult! Proper nerdgasm territory

I had wanted this product since I heard it announced, and I was not disappointed!!!! It really is amazing, as all the 5-star reviews on here and the Lego store will prove. I have remade this 3 times, as the techniques involved in the building are so intricate and interesting. It's a feature in my house, and I proudly display it for everyone. I have however kept it away from the kids as it feels so precious. Definitely 100% worth it's rrp.
