Wrong Product - see picture
The photo and description is for the wrong product. Very misleading - the product you get is actually the energy vega sports bar. Great if you are running a marathon, not so great if you want a high protein recovery bar. Please update your details.

excellent and the best plant based protein bar available so far
mmmmmhh these bars are very tasty , yes they are sweet, but its not an overpowering time of sweetness and they do quickly replenish energy stores after long workouts, the bcaa's and the glutamine is a plus to help with quicker recovery of muscles, just be carefull not to scoff them all down at once.

Best protein bar available
This is my absolute favourite protein bar. It hits all the targets for nutrition and taste.Let's look at nutrition first. You get 15g protein, 1g omega 3, 2.5g BCAAS and 2g glutamine. In addition the bar is soy, dairy and gluten free. Many of the ingredients are organic, including the peanuts which is very important as non organic peanuts are heavily treated with pesticides. There is 3g fibre in the bar.Unlike many other protein bars it doesn't use artificial sweeteners and contains more "real" ingredients and not just whey and fibre, so the calories are a little higher than others at 260. However, the taste and texture is so much better. It's actually like eating a chocolate bar. You bite through a really tasty chocolate coating into a delicious peanut-y filling. It's really rare to find a genuinely tasty protein supplement but this is literally like eating candy. I find whey protein bars overwhelmingly chewy or hard and many of them (Quest for example) are really sickly and artificial. That is not a problem with these. The downside of this is that if you have a sweet tooth and find it hard to control your intake, you may find yourself sitting with the box and chomping one after another! I don't have this problem because I find them very rich and sweet, but just be aware of that. Some people might jump on the sugar content and try to say that it's a junk food with no benefit, but I disagree. The best way to use these bars is not to say "Oh it's protein, I need it if I exercise", but to think of it as a healthier way to get a chocolate fix. If you love chocolate peanut butter flavoured candy bars, this is a vastly superior alternative. The ingredients are better and you'll be getting a good fix of protein and omega 3. In addition, a regular size snickers bar is smaller but despite that contains more sugar. So next time you fancy something sweet and delicious, try having one of these bars instead of a regular chocolate bar.A word of caution: These are stupidly expensive on amazon. Sometimes a cheaper version appears, but in general you are better off buying them elsewhere. Bodybuilding.com has them for much less, and if you order from the UK store they come in 1-3 days. Funnily enough these are even much cheaper on iHerb if you choose the cheapest airmail option.
