Another gift for my kids. They love playing with this stuff. They do not work as well on darker hair. It is easier to apply to the hair if you put a backing behind it. Don't just hold the hair out and color it or color it against your head. Works better to put a paper plate or piece of cardboard behind the hair as a backer. Washes out easily.

The colors are vibrant, but of course the darker ones are harder to see in darker hair. That's a given. It does leave the hair a bit stiff since it is chalk, but washes out completely in one wash, which is what I wanted. Happy with the product.

I bought this for work, as we're doing a little competition and some people are having to temporarily dye their hair/beards. This worked really well for one of my coworker's beards, as it is mostly gray. However, we tried it on my brunette supervisor, and you could barely see it. Definitely don't recommend for those with darker hair!

Purchased for a grand-niece for a gift. she has light hair so her Mom ran a test on her own very blonde locks,,, Mother approved! So,, no worries about it not washing out its safe to use, and got the green light. Grandniece, She loved the chalk set was very excited to use them.

Kids love it but I gave it 3 stars because I don't like how it makes their hair feel. We've used hairchalk before where the hair didn't change in texture once applied but this makes their hair as stiff as a board.

Work okay, but if your child has darker hair some colors won't show up as well. Also, they make the hair have the texture of cotton candy & is a pain to style afterwards.

Grand daughter and almost 11, told me she loved all the colors she was so excited to use the hair chalk she colored her 7 yr.old brothers hair too.Extremely glad I choose this product for Her hearing the joyful excitement in her voice is always heartwarming.
