Love making bagels and doughnuts With this plate I love that the plates are interchangeable makes it versatile

We recently got the excellent Tefal sandwich- and snack-maker through a loyalty point scheme. The main attraction being to get rid of our range of cheap low-quality kitchen devices such as a toaster, pancake maker, waffle maker ect. The other argument being that those devices that we used most frequently got very greasy and were hard to clean - since electrical devices don't do well in a dishwasher.These plates obviously can be cleaned easily and are of sturdy high quality. And we're now trying out a number of other grill and baking options with the new Tefal machine - so far with very satisfying result.The only few issues to point to is first of all, that as a space-saver the machine it self is fairly large and then each set of plates comes in a VHS-cassette type plastic box, so given that we got 5 of them now, it fills up the cupboard quickly. Albeit in a more efficient and less messy manner than with the myriad of other devices before.Secondly, at a 15 GBP price point we each of these sets of plates has a comparable price to some low-end kitchen device that allows you to make the some thing.Update - I got very excited by somebody asking about using this Tefal device as a George Foreman grill for steaks. So I got a high quality sirloin steak, put some salt and pepper on it and placed it between the grill plates for 3 minutes (maybe add 1 minute depending on the steak thickness and your cooked-prefference) - and OH BOY!!! the result was a delicious medium-rare steak !! see added picture. The family LOVED this steak sandwich lunch option. The plates got a bit more messy/greasy and required a good washing afterward. But well worth it.

These work perfectly in my griller for making tasty toasted sandwiches. I wish they were a bit larger, and the cost of the griller plus a few accessories makes it one of the more expensive options around.

It's easy to use and to clean. The pancakes turn out perfect. I also use it to make small omelettes for my kid's lunch box.

We use these to make small pancakes most weekends. It works well and is easy to clean. Not necessarily faster than making them on a large hob pan, but great for consistency or if you otherwise only have smaller skillets/pans

Light weight, versatile

So much easier than making in a frying pan, cooks both sides at the same time.Like the Tefal frying pans, the plates are so easy to clean.As some other reviewer mentioned, the collection and unit saves money and space.
