Fixed a hole in my ice maker supply line
There was a kink in my ice maker supply line that goes to my freezer that is on my fridge (kitchen). It was where the line goes through the floor to the basement. I knew it was a matter of time before there was a leak because it is a horrible job someone did with the placement of this hole to get to the water line in the basement. I have a friend who has worked in aquaponics and suggested this solution. worked perfectly!!! Just make sure the cut on the poly line is super straight so there is no leaking. I used an exacto blade with a mat to make the cut but they sell cutters for RO systems at the hardware store too. It was sooo easy to install and was fixed in about 10min. Thank goodness a home fix-it I could do myself and I have my icemaker and cold filtered drinking water back if needed. (first world problems right?) LOL.

Good quality
Needed to repair an auto fill line going to my Koi pond. Had a pin hole size leak and this was easy to install and very well made. Highly recommend and a good value.

the easiest repair ever
the easiest repair ever. literally 2 seconds. just cut and press.the water supply line to the frig developed a pin hole leak, through the floor dripping from the basement ceiling. I cut out the bad part of the line with a pair of plant trimmers and just stuck it in this splicer. literally just press and play, all done, no leaks. the easiest repair job

Good Product
There were no clues on this website concerning the origin of this product, and contacting Watts directly didn't help, so I decided to order it.Made in China! For our drinking water, this is not acceptable. An outdoor shower provided an alternative use. Specifically, they joined 1/2" pex to 1/2" cpvc. Installation was quick like you might expect from a push fitting. Don't forget to use the pex stiffener. It's been a few months now and there have been no problems. I've used GatorBite (and derivative products) and find no functional difference here. These appear to be well made (non-flimsy).

How do you this product? Here's how.
I thought I give people looking to buy this wonderful product and not really know how to assemble it some tips I used. To use this product properly. Do the following:1) Measure the pipes you're connecting, make sure to mark them each 1 and 1/4 of an inch so that you know the depth you need to push it.2) Insert the little black plastic tube into the mouth your PEX or which ever plastic pipe you're connecting. You do not have to use it for copper.3) Connect the pipe one at a time. If you're using plastic pipe and have inserted the black plastic tube into the mouth, you may notice a tiny amount of space it will take up. The line you marked in step one may be a little away from the quick connect. That is okay. You can eyeball the depth of the little black plastic tube and know the amount of space it'll need once you're inserting you pipe.4) You may feel that the pipe and the quick connect may not be harden and you can twist it or loosen it apart. What I do is that do you see that first ring? Use the black round letter U shape piece to separate it from the body then clip the U shape piece down. See attached picture. It will then harden up and you're set to go.Let me know if you need help.
