I write reviews when I really like or really hate an item. I really like Alumalite Alumires RC-3 Black Urethane Casting Resin! It is thinner than most casting resin I’ve used. This allows it to flow more easily and pick up more minute details from the molds.I preheat my molds to 200F/93C and dust them with talcum powder. The resin kit comes with measuring cups, and, like all resin, it has to be mixed at the proper 50/50 ratio. It took me 2 minutes to mix the resin and hardener. The color is deep black.Once mixed, working time is 3-5 minutes. The larger the casting, the more heat is generated and the faster it will harden. The instructions suggest letting your casting set in the mold for 30 minutes. I demolded my parts in ten. Very happy with the results.This Alumalite resin set makes for easy, quality casting. Recommended!
