It’s quiet the controls are easy to use it works great in my basement

This unit worked well for only one season. When I fired it up this spring, it failed with error code E3... "lack of gas to protect" according to the manual. The warranty help line was no help at all, and they would not honor the 1 year warranty, even just two weeks after the 1 year anniversary. They even suggested taking it to a BestBuy near me.....Why?? Consider these disposable units.

Plastic latch tab broke off. Chinese plastic that covered the filter. Called Emerson: Ohh we don't stock that in our warehouse. ,OK give me my money back then its under warranty. Emerson: cut the cord, take a picture of that, take a picture of serial number. scan that to our website, etc. Give me a break. I called Amazon. They covered it, emailed me a shipping label, sent old one back in same box. EMERSON: TAKE NOTE OF THIS DUHHHHH. Thanks to Amazon!!!

This does not come with the casters pictured, which is one of the features I wanted. They are shown in the pictures here, and are shown on the cardboard container it came, and a paper was attached instructing you to place them before operation, but there are none included. It's lightweight when empty but what an awkward situation for a big unit.

Works like a charm. My wet basement already has a sump pump so I just attached a hose to my dehumidifier and ran it into my sump. In an hour I could feel definitely less moisture in my basement and it’s been running nonstop since I bought it and I love it.

Arrived in good time and easy to uncrate. Dumped bucket 3x in first 24 hours so it’s doing its job that way. Unfortunately 3 negatives:1) this thing throws off a LOT of heat. As in, our basement went +4 degrees within three hours of turning it on (digital thermometer) and you can feel the temp rise as you go down the basement stairs. Not ideal for a unit that runs primarily inthe summer! Considering a return.2) it’s not any quieter than our previous GE model, this is NOT a “whisper soft” machine. We have it in a large bathroom between two basement bedrooms and it is loud, even with fan on low3) one of the coasters had a visible flaw and wouldn’t insert properly. Tried calling the customer service line, nothing. Finally was able to leave my contact on an automated system but never got a response. Gave up and got out a hammer to make it work.It's OK but neither quiet nor cool so...just know that when comparing units.

It was easy to set up and works well. Very quiet operation.

this unit is a piece of junk. 1st one i got did not work at all, right out of box. yes, i read all instructions 2ce b4 doing. i got to box it back up and send it back!!! 2 years in, it is not working. will not turn off or re adjust from 85% humidity. in addition the self draining hose feature is impossible to set up because of limited space to screw in hose securely. plus the self draining has stopped working, all hoses are clear to drain and still does not empty. yes, it is level. for almost 300$ i expect this machine to work for decades before i get these problems. signed, a highly experienced home owner.
