No complaints for price, the detector could be a bit more friendly to use but still beeps near Freon

UV light didn’t work.
Broken out of the box, no illumination at all. I tried a different set of batteries. I measured the output of the battery carriers. Clearly a switch or control module.

Kind of works.
The light works great. I used it to find a leak in my condenser. The freon "sniffer" did not work at all. If you shake it even a little the alarm goes off as if it senses a leak. This results in a lot of false positive detections. But then it didn't detect a leak where I could see evidence of a leak with the light. I would probably buy a nicer item.

Works like a sniffer and UV leak detector should.
Both the sniffer and UV light picked up a leak on my Truck immediately, it was right where I suspected from years of experience with Chevy trucks (at the high pressure service port on the compressor) and didn't give me false positives behind the fan with the rad fan running like some other hobby grade sniffers. The UV light is bright enough to use during the day, outside. Picked up dye mid day , full sun even without the yellow glasses. It also picked up blood on the black alternator bracket from where I cut myself replacing the oil pressure sending unit a few days before. May have to take it hunting with me in case I need to track a deer, Coyote or bear in the dark if I don't pile them up where they stand while hunting at last light. I didn't want my son constantly using my snap-on kit all the time and certainly wouldn't take it out in the woods so I bought this kit for him to use but I'm confident it will do almost as well as professional kit in both senses (UV light and gas sniffer).
