Excellent camera for hard to reach places
I have five of these cameras, each with solar panels. Got the first one a few months ago. The cameras are in a place where cell service is poor. My Verizon phone is almost unusable, but these do not use VZ.Bottom line: fantastic solution for what I need. I’ll buy more of these in the future as trail and security camsPros:- no monthly fees!!- good price on bundled camera + solar, competitive- included SIM works well. Data costs are predictable…I use the 12 gb for six months plan, currently $60. Oldest camera I have still has 10.38 gb avail- super easy to reload the SIM via Eufy app- data usage is efficient…cameras do not send video unless you are watching live, downloading a vid, or getting an alert sent to you- easy to share the camera with others- solar panel keeps the batteries healthy. Never had one drop less than 83%- alerts come fast- support has been excellent. I have bought 11 cameras total and had to work with support on two of them and they were swapped out with zero hassle- the spotlight is super bright- power usage is goodCons:- mounts are plastic. I’ve cracked a couple when screwing them in with electric tool. Still usable though- must manage all settings individually for each camera.- geofencing is currently in beta and it works well, but not perfect. Not a big dealWish List:- ability to turn on recording from the app and then retrieve the 2K rez video from the camera as a download. Currently (Nov 2022) when you press record it saves to your phone directly, and the video quality is whatever it was streamed to you, which in my case are always pixelated since cell service is poor up there. Minor issue- would like to view and retrieve videos using the desktop eufy app. Currently that isnt supported. You can browse and download them through phone app easy thoUpdate Oct 2023:- still overall happy with them and will buy more as needed- some of the video tends to pause for a half second at the start when recording. Audio and video syncs up after the video recovers. This is on all the cameras and is not a result of low bandwidth- I’d like the app to have a record button that will record a 2k video on demand and store that on the camera. The way it works now is that you can record a video on demand but it will save it to your phone at whatever quality it was streaming as- the cameras make and audible click when turning on. Animals notice. I’ve had three cameras savages by black bears this summer as I kept them low to get the cubs. I moved them higher up as a result. On the plus side the cameras work with teeth marks- battery life suffers in winter. I’m sure cold temps, low sunlight, and the fact that it’s in the woods on the east side of a mountain all play a partI’m still happy with the purchases. For the price and what they do they are a good value to me.

JUNK Junk Don't waste your time or money
I spent hours trying to get this product to work and could not. Support health is limited when they can help you. Directions are sloppy just like the product. I highly recommend you save your money and buy a camera that works. I knew it was going to be junk when the directions for putting it together failed to show you how to insert the SIM card. They just leave it up to user to guess. See picture of directions. I searched online as well, and there's no directions on how to put in the Sim card. It does only going one way, but the clique is so quiet that it is easy to miss. I probably tried every option three times. There is a gold side and a white side. There was a corner cut off. Those indicators allow the product developers to tell you how to insert it. Uthe just didn't take the time to do it. They just leave it up to the customer for trial and error. it's easy enough, but it takes 15 minutes to figure out. That's 15 minutes of every customer's life that they waste because they were too lazy to actually write the directions out. As I suspected that sloppiness was carried out through the product. I spoke with customer service, and after trying it three or four times, they to admit it it just doesn't work. They will reimburse my money. I will have to drive an hour to UPS to get it back. They will not reimburse me for that gas or my time. Before buying this product, make sure AT&T is very strong in your area. If it is not, this product will not work. AT&T works fine here, but it is not extremely strong. I have no trouble paying for the extra data but the product needs to work. Do not buy this product. It is junk.

Peace of mind & No Wi-Fi necessary
If you need a security camera that works without wi-fi, then this may be the one for you. I haven't tried any others but this one is doing the job I need it to do. It watches over my property and alerts me on my phone if anyone steps onto it. I can record live video & audio, talk to the intruder, if needed, and store any events as they happen.I bought the one with the solar panel and it works satisfactorily; you will need to take the camera down from time to time and recharge it completely. I've changed the direction of the panel to better supply the camera's battery but to no avail. That's the only thing that aggravates me about it because, as a woman who is afraid of heights, I need somebody to climb a ladder to take them down and put them back up. It's pretty high. I wish they would just work all the time without having to do this. That's why I bought the ones with the solar panels.Other than that, the alarm the intruder hears is pretty loud. After getting alerts on my phone, I've watched people turn around immediately upon hearing that alarm. And at night, there is a light that will come on too when someone is spotted in the camera's view, so you're doubly protected with a loud alarm and a light that comes on too. One thing that I think could make them better is if Eufy had the capability to ring your phone at night when asleep. As you can see from the photos, the night photo is still a fairly good view. It's at 8pm and dark out but from the photo, it looks like the sun may have just gone down.I just had to fully recharge them on January 2, 2024...gonna see how long that charge lasts and add that later on.Tanya
