This is working out great for me. Using it to control voltage to a qrp ham radio transceiver.

I purchased a rear-view monitor for my RV. The camera required 12 volts. Rather than tap into the rear light or license plate light (which would power the camera only when braking or with the headlights on, I plugged this into a spare USB port in the RV and ran the cable to the camera. Now I have power to the camera all the time and I can see who is behind me when I am driving. View through the rear-view mirror is extremely limited with the cabinetry and TV in the back of the RV. You can switch between 9 volts and 12 volts if you need a different voltage and your choice is clearly on view on the display. Highly recommend this for low current 12 voltage needs.

If you're looking for precise voltage output, then this is definitely not what you want.My sole purpose for purchasing this was because I had a ton of bit attachments from another adjustable voltage power supply but wanted to power my D alkaline battery operated fans (12V and under) with something much more compact. My various fans run on D alkaline batteries or proprietary power cord. Using alkaline batteries are costly in the long term. A portable slim cell phone rechargeable brick at 10,000MaH will run my 12V fan for 3.5 hours on high, and 7 hours on low at 9V with *consistent* power output. The footprint for supplying the needed power is equally efficient, but 70% smaller, cheaper, lighter and more portable!The digital display module does get warm at 12V, but not enough to cause concern for a fire. Common sense and caution should nonetheless be used.

Works well running a piece of monitoring equipment when there is no wall charger to plug into.

I tried using this cable with a small usb power bank to daisy chain together 2 guitar Effects Pedals. It wouldn't power any pedals I had, regardless of the power draw. I tried different usb power sources and nothing worked. It's either faulty or it's just not compatible with most guitar Effects pedals. I would've had them send me a new one but it's so cheaply made that I just ended up ordering a jbl 5v to 9v cable instead. The switch on this cable is wobbly and the clear plastic casing feels thin and brittle. I would stay away from this one.
