Sorry not for me
I only managed around 50 pages and it just didn't grab me. I'm not saying it was bad just not my cup of tea.If you like Harry Potter then you will probably like this. Sadly I don't and didn't!

Excellent mystical read
First of all, it was so nice to have an actual book in my hand to read. This book takes place in the 1800s and is very well written. Her words are descriptive and delightful. So much so that I had a difficult time putting it aside. As the title reads, it is enchanting, dealing with a magical society and an enchanted, although thought to be haunted, inherited house. This was my first time reading a book by this author; she did a beautiful job in her writing, the only irritation that I found was some of the words were not user-friendly and from that time period. For myself, I found other words could be substituted to make it read smoother. But it was a delightful read and I would recommend it to anyone to enjoy.

Excellent Book
I have been an avid reader of Charlie Holmberg for a long time. This is the strongest book she has put out. Fans of Paper Magician might gasp at that, but wait a minute. While she has always been a master of world creating, at times her timing and page length have been lacking. Paper Magician was brilliant, but should have been one normal sizes book, not 3 minis. This book is perfect as is. The pace is spot on, the characters engaging, and the book doesn't end on a weird cliffhanger. It is an excellent stand alone book, and proves that Holmberg can write longer books. There is mystery, humor, romance, and characters that beg us to get to know them more. Please, continue to write books like this one!

Delightful
Beautifully written with turns of phrase to turn the heart. The heroine is a women who is self contained like many of us. Creating a hard shell to avoid the hurt of disappointment. She shares the experiences in her life which shaped her and the character grows as many of us do by opening her life up to possibilities. Since reading this I’ve purchased and read two other books by the author and enjoyed them immensely.

Imaginative fun!
The novel is built on the premise that perhaps all of us carry within a little bit of magic that has become more and more diluted with each passing generation. And it is set in a time just enough earlier than our own that the "lack" of evidence of magic now doesn't at all detract from the story. It is just plain fun.
