Great product. Solid metal construction and easy install. The 800 lumen level and 3000-5000K color range allows for a good range of applications and isn't a blinding level of light, which I appreciated.

While many competitors offer a porch light with an outlet, this is the ONLY porch light that I found that had a weather protected outlet. It was a pleasant surprise to find that the outlet is independent of the light. (The light has a light sensor on it, so it comes on only in the dark.) Wiring it in was a simple job, but like any electrical install, it should be done by someone experienced with electrical installations. We bought this product so that we could plug in our pergola lights and not be concerned about leaving it plugged in during inclement weather.

I don't know where people are getting the idea that this light is Dusk to Dawn. No where is it advertised as dusk to dawn. It is a porch light controlled by a switch. I have bought four of these in the last couple of months- two for my Mother's house and two for my own. They are easy to install and put out a very nice light at night. It doesn't get much easier than that. And, unlike a conventional porch light, it won't fill up with dead moths.

The light auto on feature (motion sensor) works as advertised. Installation was easy, bracket to box, fixture to bracket. The reason I gave it four stars is the mounting bracket should be more robust. The 90 degree mounting flange for the fixture should be longer (depth) with two threaded holes per side for fixtures that are mounted on homes with a stucco exterior. Stucco is used everywhere on Southwest homes, New Mexico, Arizona, etc. I had to remove a rectangular section of stucco so that the fixture would mount deeper into the exterior wall. With two mounting holes on the 90 degree flange this would allow surface mounting on stucco houses.

I just got this outdoor motion sensor light for my woman cave aka sanity shed outside and it’s been amazing! The motion sensor covers a decent are and lights up as soon as it senses movement from me or anyone else. Because of that it makes me feel a lot safer at night because I can see whats going on. Setting it up was not difficult at all it was clear enough instructions because trust me I am no electrician. The only thing is, it sometimes picks up very small animals passing by, but it’s not a huge deal. Overall, Iike the look and how it lights up the space.

This light seems to function properly. There is NO gasket / seal on the mounting surface of the fixture. The fixture is intended to be surface mounted, so a seal would be a proper addition to the fixture. Especially since the instructions note to keep the fixture dry.
