Replacement Coffee Carafe for Black and Decker 12-CUP Coffee Maker, Black Handle

I have a Black & Decker CM1160/1165 series 12-cup coffee maker. We accidentally dropped the carafe and it shattered, so I was looking for a replacement. I'm always leery of non-branded items because I'm not sure if they'll fit properly. This one was great! It came with 3 different lid inserts of varying heights, and that's what helped it fit properly. I ended up using the lowest-height lid insert. Worked perfectly! My only beef is that the carafe itself cost almost as much as the entire coffeemaker. This carafe was $23.99. I'd paid only $36.99 for the whole coffeemaker. I sprung for it because I didn't want to buy a whole new coffeemaker when this one was almost brand new and worked fine.

This was NOT a major issue,. However, greater clarity is needed regarding which adapter to use for a given model of coffee maker. Three diffent size adaptors are included. After some initial ambiguity, I identified the correct adaptor and all was well. I kept the product and would buy again.

I broke my last jug and needed a new one. This one comes with extra tops so it can fit a variety of makers.

The replacement carafe fit perfectly.... much less expensive than replacing the entire coffee maker

I AM DONE WITH THIS CARAFE!!! I have a Black and Decker coffee maker whose model number I have forgotten and in my frustration, refuse to go look but I did prior to ordering and according to the Amazon site, is compatible. The carafe arrived with two different size lid inserts which I tested but did not work. Made a mess and water went everywhere. I then read further and saw in the included instructions that no lid insert is to be used for my Black and Decker. As you see, it STILL doesn’t work. I really need my coffee in the AM so I truly tried to find a way to make it work but the only way it does is if I literally stand there and hold the carafe in interesting ways throughout the brewing process. Otherwise, I end up with the mess you see and a grind-filled pot of coffee. The instructions tell you not to return to the purchase site - Amazon in my case - but rather, go to their website to “find your order” then blah blah. NO SUCH EXISTS!!! not that I can find anyway. I am totally peeved!!! Such a waste of my fixed income! I AM FURIOUS

I bought this as a replacement. It's better than the original because it comes with a couple of different sizes of tops - which means that the coffee maker actually registers that the coffee pot is in there and stops pouring when I pull the carafe out. It's better than buying a whole new coffee maker. Thank you!
