Fantastic game
I'm not going to go in depth here, but I have played a lot of Souls and Soulslikes. I just beat Lies of P the week before I started this game. This is one of the most accessible Soulslikes that I have ever played. If you've been looking to get into Souls and Soulslikes, I would definitely suggest giving this a try. The level design is amazing. There are a huge variety of weapons. There is always something to do. I had a hard time stopping my play sessions and when I wasn't playing this game, I was thinking about it. Few games get into my head like that. Lies of P didn't even worm its way in like this game did. The game isn't easy per say, but it is very accessible. I don't want that to sound like a negative though. If you have ever wanted to try these games, get this game first. It's cheap enough too. $20 for this masterpiece is a steal.

Great gameplay, played multiple times but...
Pros:good graphics.Amazing game overallgreat concept and ideas for level design etc.Unique weapons and combat compared to other soulslike games.Cons:bosses. They can be beat by just spamming explosive grenades. Really janky. Nerf the grenades asap and this game would be infinitely better. Also the enemies can be repetitive. Lots of bugs during launch but many have been fixed.4.5/5I recommend this, and Thymesia which also just came out.

Game is amazing
This is one of the most fun souls-like games. Its not as long (it is about 15 hours without backtracking/ side missions) as fromsofts catalog of straight 5 star gems, but if you like the genre, this is not one to pass up! It feels nice to play as aegis taking down a nice assortment of killer automatons. The graphics are a bit blurry, but i personally really liked the aesthetic enough that the bluriness at times was minor.Sound has some issues as it tends to cut out at times, but the effects when moving and slashing feel on point. The world is not interconnected. The level design is at most times quite clever and often looping back on itself. Also, there is metroidvania like opportunity to go back to areas that you have already cleared and open new paths with skills you pick up along the way.So, again, if you like the genre, you could easily find this to be worth your time and money. Just dont order or preorder from amazon as they do not fulfill their pre order obligations as advertised.

As Close to PS5 Bloodborne as You’ll Get
This game was a real hidden gem.I bought it on sale to scratch my Soulsborne itch without knowing really anything about it.The graphics are beautiful, the atmosphere of the world they’ve built in this game is stunning, and the controls are slick and responsive.Combat takes a bit of getting used to with how enemies respond to damage, but once you get a feel for it and build your confidence, you will start to feel that rush that get you get from other games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne and Elden Ring when you beat a particularly tough enemy. The story was unique, and all the voice acting was very good. There were definitely some audio bugs where voice acting would cut out, but that was really the only issue I ever experienced while playing the game or viewing the cutscenes. If you keep subtitles on you won’t miss any important bits.Considering this is not a triple A game, the few bugs I ran into were definitely within the realm of acceptability, especially when taking into account how well-crafted the entire experience was.If I ever lost this game, I would replace it immediately. A must-have for your PS5 collection if you’re looking for an exciting and decently challenging experience.

Mediocre with Micro Transactions.
I hate to leave bad reviews. But this is a mediocre and forgettable souls-like that I immediately stopped playing when they introduced micro transactions / pay to win weapons a couple weeks after release. The game wasn’t bad, and I was enjoying it. It was difficult, albeit the enemy variety was getting repetitive, but that wasn’t a deal breaker. The second I saw that they added micro transactions I closed the game and uninstalled. Weapons and armor in a cash shop…in A SOULSLIKE!?!?, even if they call them “dlc” Wth is a $2.50 dlc that only includes one weapon that you can’t get in game? It’s a micro transaction. And if it’s a good weapon? It’s pay to win.I refuse to do anything that may open the door for micro transactions to creep into my favorite game genera.

Solid action rpg
I liked the story, concept and gameplay. There are many weapons but I reduced to 4/5 because many of the weapons share the same moveset except for 1 or 2 moves. I feel that was a missed opportunity as well as not having mutliplayer.
