4th cone purchased and we have a winner!
This is the 4th cone I've purchased for a simple spay and the one that finally worked. I have one very small and one normal sized cat. I brought two sizes of cone to the vet and bought another, wider cone from them since they pointed out the narrow ones I brought would annoy the outrageously long whiskers of my tiny girl. The vet cone saved the whiskers but left her unable to eat, drink, or see very well so I added to my cone collection. I got the small size even though it's slightly too small for her neck because of the width of the frill part and it's perfect. The velcro is wide enough that I can lap half the velcro so it's not constricting her neck but is still secure and she's able to move, eat, drink, etc. She's managed to hook it on her hip to lick her tail which makes her happy but her incision site is still out of reach which makes me happy. Her sister will need at least a medium and if you need this for any tail or back, double check the width

Sturdy & Comfortable for My Cat
I rescued my cat. Got him fixed and vet gave him one of those plastic cones of shame. It was so hard for him to eat so I got this wonderful soft shell cone. It has a velcro pad to open and close it. It also is adjustable. Easy to put on and take off and easy to clean. My cat had no problem sleeping with it as it is flexible. He never licked his "you know what" area as it was unreachable with the cone. What a life saver. And it's really cute.

Saved our Sanity
My sweet boy had to have a major operation. He was NOT having that plastic cone, at all. He was throwing himself down steps, among many other things to get that plastic cone off. I ordered this collar. It was the perfect size, able to sleep in, and easy to remove for cleaning. The soft material was cute and it functioned perfectly! He wasn't able to lick his wounds, which was crucial for his healing. Peanut approved. Pet parents sanity in check.

It works but velcro isn't strong
It works for my cat who is 12lbs. I got the large. He is a overgroomer. The cone is very durable it is waterproof and easy to clean. However the velcro doesn't hold up to my cat. I added 2 small metal clamps to prevent him from getting it off. So far this has helped. He is able to eat drink and still play. I have tried several things to help him from over grooming. This is the only one that works.

This isn't the cone of shame!!
Oh! This is so much better than those stiff plastic collars they have at the vet's office. It's nice and soft, yet they can't get their paws up near their face to scratch it. Consiquently, they can't really lock their paws either. It's a win-win all the way around. We bought two so we could wash one while Leela wore the other. It's adjustable so it's easy to make it bigger or smaller. This is the one you want.

Not the best, not the worst
This cone does work, technically, but it's a bit cumbersome. I'd potentially size up, as the cone that I ordered was much too small around the neck. This could be because of the way the seam is sewed, I'm not sure. I just ended up cutting some slits in it and it fit much better. The velcro will need cleaned every day to continue sticking. I understand the design, it's a very low velcro so as to not stick to the cat's fur, but as such, it needs to be kept 100% hair free to continue functioning. I just used a piece of duct tape on it twice a day and it pulled all the hair from the teeth and it worked fine. Also, the part that velcros together is heavier than the rest of the cone so it will inevitably hang down.It isn't my favorite cone, but if you want aesthetic instead of fully functional, it'll work for you.

Life saver after cats bladder surgery
Life saver after cats surgery. He fought his way out of his onesie and the hard cone was too hard, he got no sleep. I switched to this soft cone (and tried some others) and this was the best shape to limit freak outs from being confined bc it's relatively open, it was soft enough for him to lay down and sleep, and he couldn't wiggle out or reach his incision. The other cones I got upset him a bit, or he got stuck in them, so this one was the best out of all of them.If your cat is recovering from a high up incision surgery (not a neuter, probably) this collar may be a good option to a hard cone or other soft cones.

love these
Works so well, (post neuter, two male cats) and once they adjusted to them, they were in far more obvious comfort than they would have been with hard cones. They'd been so stressed the first few days post op, that i know hard cones would have made such a hard time for them, and i'm really grateful for these. Our smaller cat, with effort, could reach his incision several times, but with a close eye, everything was fine.Their litter box is a bit tall, so trying to get in and bumping would discourage them, but it's super easy to just invert the cone when they're about to go, and i just lift their front paws into it and walk away and let them do the rest. The print is genuinely so cute
